WARNING TO ALL DRIVERS !!! Nothing against the restaurant as I was unable to participate in the morning as I planned to do so.
Not trucker friendly.... was advised i could park here by other colleagues and that the food was great... I can’t be the judge of this now due to being awaken by an old man in a blue dodge ram that was cursing and yelling for me to get the “f” out of here and shining a bright light at me. I tried to have an intelligent conversation with him and ask him about the restaurant. I even addressed him respectfully as “sir” and he again used profanity towards me. Again I was advised that this was a great place to eat and that it was ok to park here. I guess that this was wrong. I apologize for the hurtful review, but all I was trying to do was support my family and possibly get some breakfast in the morning.
In addition to his bad attitude, he broke a flashlight on my Driver’s door. This old man claimed to call the police and when I called they stated they haven’t received any calls. I proceeded with my vandalism report as well as when the officer was there he walked up to me and put his arm on me to move me as he was trying to gather the pieces to his broken flashlight.
WARNING TO ALL DRIVERS !!!
He gets physical against your property and I was advised he owns the whole strip with the gravel lot and the restaurant!!!
Update to this review I am giving the restaurant five stars after speakig to nick the owner of the restaurant. Unfortunately he is dealing with a bad landlord that is running a lot of business away from this establishment. The good news for now is that tricks are welcome during business hours from 6 am to 3 pm. Any other time that you are parked here, you are taking a big risk of getting your...
Read moreWent there yesterday for lunch. Food is good and the waitress was friendly and good. BUT no place for a truck driver to sit and wait on his hours (4 hours to be exact) after eating lunch with my boyfriend. Since my boyfriend drives a tractor trailer we had to sit there and wait for the 4 hours so we decided to eat lunch while we wait. Well this old grouchy grumpy man came up and told us “No over night parking” so my boyfriend told him that we went inside and ate lunch and we had 30 minutes till we can leave. So the grumpy man drove to another truck driver and then the old grumpy man came back and he said “I know all the tricks” I stood up inside the truck and said “Like he told you we have 30 minutes left and we will be gone” so the old grumpy man left. Well we had 10 minutes left till we could leave and low and behold the old grumpy grouchy man came back and so my boyfriend climbed out of the truck and walked over to the old grumpy man and told him “we have 5-10 minutes left” the old grumpy man said “okay” and drove off AND ALMOST hit my boyfriend when he drove off. Well all I can say is this..... the only time we will EVER come back is if we drive our personal truck to North Carolina and TRUCK DRIVERS..... THEY ONLY WANT...
Read moreWhile waiting for Safelite to change my windshield about a mile or so from this restaurant. Had a 2-3 hour wait, so I took the wife here for Valentines Day (she followed me in her car so we could go out while waiting). Saw the reviews and menu online a week before and it looked like a place to try. Our waitress was friendly, fast and just a joy. I had the country fried steak, green beans and mac and cheese. My wife has beef tips and the broccoli casserole. We loved every bit of the food; it came out hot and done perfect. Our sodas got refilled without asking and before we left we asked if we could have the sodas to go and it was 'no problem'. The place was pretty busy, but the staff was all very nice and kept busy and the place was clean. We both used the rest rooms and remarked to each other how clean they were. Next time we are on that side of Charlotte and looking to eat we'd love to come...
