I've come here with my son a few times, and I definitely see why folks recommend it for comfort food. Comfy atmosphere, diverse selection of food options, and relatively prompt ordering, order cook to table time, and friendly employees.

The kids' meals are full size, so most kids will be filled up. You can get the meals (like hot dogs and hamburgers) as plain or dressed up as your kid prefers. The kids' meals aren't reinventing the wheel - they are just solid core options a parent might expect and get the job done!

I've had the hamburger steak twice w/ gravy and onions, and a double cheese burger with the works (it was one of the mid-week specials). Burger was definitely solid but I wouldn't go as far as some of the other reviews saying best in the city. That hamburger steak w/gravy is awesome - awesome enough that it'll be tough not to make that my regular order when I go there, instead of exploring the menu more! Typical regular and southern sides available (fried Okra, Mac, crinkle fries, onion rings, mash and gravy, etc.) A lot of sides available, so you'll find a combo that fits your taste. Also, for the amount of food you get, price is great!

Dining experience is order at the counter, sit, and they'll bring the food to you. The employees circle the dining room and fill fountain drinks as needed. They are pretty attentive, so you shouldn't have to wait long before your beverage is refilled. Super nice, too, always taking time to interact with my kiddo and keeping the dining area clean!

I went to Ted's one day on my lunch break which had been reduced from an hour to 30 minutes. First let me say this was my first time here and when I walked in it reminded me of a restaurant my mom and dad would go to in my hometown, Greenville SC. The atmosphere was friendly and welcoming. I placed an order for double cheeseburger and fries but my card did not work. I immediately called my bank. It was payday. I knew I had money! Long story short the bank said they deactivated card. I asked the nice lady at counter was it possible to pay for my food with my husband's card without card being present. She said yes and when I was going to reorder she told me she had told the chef to go ahead and make my order. This was a lifesaver. I was able to get my order and also have time to eat and make it back in time to work without being late and I smoked a half a cig..lol.. As a customer service representative..This was a wonderful example of outstanding customer service. To top it off the food was great! The burger was juicy. I can't wait to go back and try other items I saw on the menu. To the sweet lady at counter..you rock! To the chef that cooked my food...you da man! Lol. Thanks for everything. I was sooo hungry and was satisfied with my whole experience....

I really should have left this review a long time ago, as a regular i can say that the staff here are super friendly and helpful, it feels like a gem that I would find in my small hometown back in (the middle of nowhere) SC, because the service is great and personable! The food is delicious like a home-cooked meal! You can taste the difference even though it's served up fast, it's definitely not fast-food. I've worked up the road from this place for nearly 5 years and our office loves Ted's and eats here often! The reviews speak for themselves, try it out! My absolute favorite is the fried chicken sandwich with their crinkle cut fries and ranch, they have the absolute best fried chicken sandwich - the seasoning is amazing and some of the best home-made ranch.
