Sorry, it's kinda long. But worst service ever!!! Seriously, I mean everrrr!!! I would advise anyone to go to any other location to eat besides this one. A co-worker and I went into the Waffle House near the Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT) to grab some breakfast at around 1am on Wednesday, 15 Dec 2021. I will never forget the staff. All three of the waitresses had different colored hair and it was styled the same. They reminded me of the Powerpuff Girls (PPG). It was cute. I figured they would use their powers for good. But oh no, they didn't use their powers for good at all. It was the exact opposite. Tried to sit down and were rudely told by a PPGs, we couldn't dine in. They told us in unison, it was takeout only. I asked, "Why not dine in?" The Red PPG said it has been going on for two years and it was due to COVID. I asked her was this all day? She said it was only at night and due to this restaurant being short-staffed. However, there were four persons working there at 1am. Doesn't add up? The restaurant web site showed this place was open for dine-in and takeout 24/7? If it's been two years the web page certainly should be updated, right? If it's short-staffed the manager at a local or district level should have been able to assist with more personnel. Still doesn't add up? Ordered the food and waited for about 10-15 minutes. While waiting, there was the typical workplace banter and loud Rap music playing on someone's CD player near the cash register. I asked Blue PPG to use the restroom and I was told the restrooms were broke. Not sure how that happens in a restaurant that is fully operational during the daytime. We got the food and waited for the Uber inside the restaurant. After about 5 minutes we were told by the Red or Yellow PPG we had to wait outside for our Uber. With bag of food and luggage in hand we lowered our heads and went outside. It was about 55 degrees outside and my co-worker didn't have a jacket. No compassion, no anything. So much for customer service, empathy and holiday spirit. We weren't the only ones who were told to wait outside. They were rude to anyone trying to get out of the cold. We stood out there for about 15 minutes till our Uber arrived. My issue is why is the Waffle House COVID protocol so much more stringent than the CDC's. If you didn't have a mask they asked you to leave OR they sold masks for a dollar. Really doesn't add up, right! Will never ever return to this Ghetto fabulous establishment to be treated as second class citizen and be made to stand out in the cold. Whatever happened to the Powerpuff Girls being a source of goodness? Will never, ever, ever add up!! Sorry for being...
Read moreManagers i whould only hope they would talk to me and pull me to the side talk face to face with employees. Ask them what's wrong to find out the problem or what's going through there head. Also how the place could run better and make more money for the company. I was a employee but let me tell u I was let go bc I needed to have Christmas off to see my mom who has stage 4 liver cancer that won't make it to next year. And I was told two days in while at my shift that i have to work or be fired even though I explained why. they have more then enuff employees. Fisst it's ok then I was told if I don't work Christmas and Christmas eve im fired mind u I spoke to the gm and the district manager, and the regional manager(but it seems that wasnt the case or forgot or had no heart). I tired to speak to the waffle house off Billy gram mind u. So some how there is no family medical leave or any understanding during Christmas. Witch baffles me. Not to mention there is no way to contact anyone above or CEO to help or be understanding. If that's how waffle house runs without looking into it then I would be In fear of my life. In two months of working there i have seen the cook get punched and disrespected through the Togo window. And not to mention there were two other guys with him and one had a gun...I would never apply and/or eat there at ( that particular) whaffle house. I just would rater relocate.
Sincerely,...
Read moreWaffle House is a beloved American diner chain known for its comfort food and friendly service. The waitresses at Waffle House often play a key role in creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for customers. They take your order with a smile and make you feel right at home. My waitress was a beautiful soul. I hope to run into her later in life.
One of the signature dishes at Waffle House is their classic sausage and eggs breakfast. The sizzle of the sausage on the griddle and the aroma of eggs cooking is enough to make your mouth water. When your plate arrives, you're greeted with perfectly cooked sausage links, fluffy scrambled eggs, and maybe even a side of crispy hash browns. My eggs a were cooked perfect. The sausage was fully cooked and so tasty.
The combination of flavors in the sausage and eggs dish is a true delight. The savory, slightly spicy taste of the sausage pairs wonderfully with the creamy eggs. Add a drizzle of maple syrup over your waffle or a dollop of ketchup on the eggs, and you've got a symphony of flavors that's both comforting and satisfying.
So, when you step into a Waffle House, it's not just about the food; it's about the experience of being served by friendly waitresses and indulging in a delicious meal like sausage and eggs that reminds you of the simple pleasures of life.
To the entire staff at this Waffle House. You did Waffle House proud. As well you made my tummy happy....
