This was our first time visiting this Waffle House and from now on we’ll probably stick to the other one near Sunset. My significant and I went in to put in a to-go order. We waited in line behind one other person who was doing the same. I noticed another employee standing directly next to the cashier messing with some stuff on the table. We waited in the line almost 10 minutes and somewhere along the way two white males came up to the line with their ticket.
The employee standing next to the register did acknowledge them but continued fiddling with whatever was sitting on the counter. Eventually the two men hopped in line behind me once it was our turn, but the girl taking orders immediately walked away to do something else when it was our turn. We’d been waiting almost 10 minutes and were standing directly in front of two employees who refused to look at us or speak to us. After a few minutes of us standing there the employee who was fiddling with the stuff on the counter came to the register and instead of finally taking our order, REACHED OVER ME and grabbed the ticket for the two white men behind us.
Again, not saying a word. I asked her if I could give my order and she continued counting the money as she told me she’d get me after them. My boyfriend and I are a biracial couple and by refusing to take our orders or even acknowledge we were there, I think she was being racist. If she would have asked nicely if they could go before us, it would have been fine, but pretending people aren’t even there is completely disrespectful. We left and went to the other Waffle House and they immediately greeted us and asked how they could help us. AND the server politely said she’d take our order in a moment as she was finishing up some tables. Perfectly understandable and great service. But I will not be coming back to this location if this is the kind’ve people...
Read moreWe went to this waffle house on yesterday and was totally humiliated by a waitress name Mary do to us parking in the handicap spot. We was told we needed to move our car so a real handy cap person could park there, this situation turned into a heated argument for way to long. I will be reaching out to corporate and contacting a lawyer for being discriminated against. She refused us service do to her rudeness. She doesn't have a right to ask me or know our disabilities. She was very rude and disrespectful. I even tried reasoning and educating her on the ADA laws & the situation which did no good it went in one ear and out the other. She needs to know her place as a waitress & not tell folk where they can park. It's was only two people there I ask for a supervisor/ manager he was the guy sitting in the corner eating while all of this was happening and not once did he stand up and try to stop it knowing she was in the wrong. The guy tj took our order cause rude mary wouldn't and serve us. No the service wasn't great. As other came there she didn't say a word to anyone about where they parked and they all got severed by Mary. Mary also cause waffle house to loose money cause a young lady walked out because of how we where treated. I'm highly upset embarrassed and I feel so disrespected. As a disabled person I shouldn't have to be humiliated and embarrassed because I have to park in a handicap spot due to my daughter and I disability. Mary definitely needs...
Read moreI am posting this review seconds after walking out of this location my family and I decided to stop here for lunch as we walked we were not greeted we were had to find our own seat the reps saw and made eye contact with us as we walked in with two 2 year old boys once seated there were two girls working a guy cook and a guy manager who multiple times looked at us but never spoke never asked if we needed menus I actually had to get up and get a menu from an empty table which there was no customers in the restaurant so every table was empty we were seated for about 20 mins and no one came to ask if we needed drinks we felt as if we were just being intentionally ignored and it's sad that it has come to this we watched one of the females make herself food and begin to seat herself once we felt we had been there too long and no one cared to take our order we got up and left and as we were leaving the manager then decides to say "did yall take their order?" And the girl with pink hair stated "you ain't right" multiple times speaking to the other girl server as we walked out they continued to stare at us through the window never once apologizing or speaking to us directly. If the service here is this horrible it's non existent then why are they even working. I'll be calling corporate on this matter as well and hope that all of these members do not maintain...
