Where do I begin… From the moment I stepped into the doors of Bob Evans, I was greeted not merely as a guest, but as family. The warmth, professionalism, and genuine hospitality I experienced at this location far exceeded every expectation and set an inspiring benchmark for excellence in customer service. We traveled from NY and Florida to attend my granddaughter’s graduation from High School and we wanted to enjoy Father’s day together before we departed. Erick, the Director of Operations, personally met me at the door with a calm confidence and a welcoming demeanor that immediately reassured me. I inquired about seating for a party of ten, and without hesitation, Erick moved into action efficiently and graciously preparing space for our family gathering. His presence throughout our visit was intentional and attentive; he continually checked in on our table to ensure everything met the highest standard of service. This kind of leadership is the heartbeat of exceptional hospitality. Our server, Asatta, was nothing short of extraordinary. Despite managing two high-traffic sections, she served with grace, poise, and a smile that never wavered. Her command of the menu was impressive, she didn’t just take our order; she curated an experience, thoughtfully guiding us toward selections that truly satisfied our palates (and hearts). Her patience, professionalism, and authentic kindness stood out as a rare gem in today’s fast-paced dining environments. The service we received from Asatta was a masterclass in hospitality; chef’s kiss worthy and absolutely deserving of recognition and reward. Bryant, who supported Asatta with serving our table, also demonstrated an exceptional level of care. He moved seamlessly with precision, offering the kind of service that felt coordinated, attentive, and deeply rooted in teamwork. The entire experience felt like coming home, and home is where the heart is. In an industry that often leans into efficiency over warmth, this Bob Evans location is a shining example of what’s possible when a team leads with heart, integrity, and excellence. Every member of the staff contributed to a dining experience that was thoughtful, dignified, and memorable. Bob Evans' mission speaks to quality, integrity, and hospitality, and this team embodied every word of that mission with consistency and pride. I hope these exceptional individuals, Erick, Asatta, Bryant, and the rest of the team are recognized, celebrated, and compensated accordingly. They did not simply perform their roles; they elevated the entire essence of what it means to serve...
Read moreI came around this restaurant while browsing for brunch options nearby. Some of the reviews were iffy but decided to give them a change after I looked at their menu online and saw something that I wanted.
We arrived at 11:50am. We waited at the host stand for about a minute before being greeted and seated. It wasn’t that many people present. I would say a handful of tables. The waitress asked if we were ready to order right after she sat us, which I thought was a little odd, lol. So we asked for time and odered at 11:58pm. I ordered the Banana Berry Farmers Choice with scrambled eggs and bacon. My friend ordered the Fresh Berry French Toast with sausage.
While waiting, I noticed an ad for a drink I wanted. The waitress didn’t come back until after the food came. The food arrived at 12:13 but was brought by someone else. The French toast was plain with maybe a little powdered sugar on it. It didn’t have the strawberries it was supposed to. After bringing it to the attention of the person who brought the food, they brought out a side of strawberry compote. My friend felt like the lady was giving attitude. The lady was acting as if he was in the wrong and trying to add the strawberry toppings on the side.. Nonetheless, she came back fairly quickly and my friend added it on top his French toast. My friend said it was good. We later figured out it was supposed to have whip cream. So essentially, they gave regular French toast.
My food was correct. My home fries was warm but on the cooler side. The bacon was crispy and delicious! The eggs were average. They came plain and I added salt and pepper. I highly enjoyed the pancakes. Halfway through eating, I ordered the strawberry citrus splash. The waitress came back almost immediately, which was surprising. It was good though.
As j was finishing up my food, the waitress came back and asked if he needed anything else, to which I said no. One thing I don’t like is when they bring over the check before knowing we’re done. Because what if I wanted something else…? Then you just wasted paper… But after she left the check, she didn’t come back for a while. So much time passed I thought the check had been paid and my friend and I was just talking, lol. Eventually, she came back and said we had to go to the front register to check out, which we did shortly after being informed.
Overall, it was a decent experience and the food was good. I will say that Bob Evans gave...
Read moreMy husband and I are long time regular patrons of this Bob Evans location. While we have watched several servers and managers come and go, we have never experienced this level of poor service in the years that we have dined here.
Today when we walked in, there was only 1 table occupied, 2 customers were leaving and the majority of the tables were dirty so we were seated at a rear booth. There was only one server and the manager and possibly a cook on duty.
When the server took us to our table, before we sat down, he asked what we would like to drink. We both ordered the cold brew, one with vanilla and the other with caramel. After about 15 minutes of waiting my husband stood up and started to walk to the front as we were ready to place our order and wanted to know what was taking so long for our drinks. The server at that time stated they were making our cold brew. After waiting over 20 minutes, the server returned with our drinks and took our order along with the table seated behind us. During the time we waited for our drinks, we could hear the server and manager talking at the front of the restaurant. My caramel cold brew had actual caramel which hardened at the bottom of my glass instead of the flavoring and I was unable to drink it.
After an additional 30 minutes the server brought our food to the table behind us and placed it on their table. Those customers told him that it was our order and he took the food from their table and put it on our table. Being that I have acompromised immune system, this could have easily put me at risk.
Given the time that it took for our food reach our table, one would expect that the food would arrive hot. The french toast was luke warm at best.
At that point, we were so thoroughly disappointed with the service we just wanted to finish our food and leave.
It is apparent that additional training needs to occur with this new server as hospitality is not his strong suit. In the future we will only patronize when our regular server,...
