There's better options out there.
Been wanting to discover some kbbq locally and I stumbled upon this place. I didn't have high expectations but oh boy, be prepared to read cause this is about to be a while.
Seating -Quick and immediate Even if my party and I needed to wait we wouldn't have cared but I know some people do so I wanted to include it. It was also a Monday at 6 so it wasn't too busy
Service My party and I were greeted quickly, we're familiar with kbbq so we didnt't need any help getting started. We came for kbbq and the unlimited bbq was the option so we went with that. Got our drinks in a timely manner and our order was taken efficiently, waitress was knowledgeable and also provided us with more information such as what else is included within the unlimited bbq. After ordering, our food came out quickly and we got started. Yeah, that's when our service disappeared lol. We had frequent check ups but each time they asked and noticed to refill a drink, they would forget. 30 minutes later they would come again to only forget once more. Our grill was never changed out with lead it being very smokey and causing our food to not cook well. I WILL CUT THEM SOME SLACK THOUGH FOR MY VISIT because there was one table with a guest that was giving the staff a really hard time about the meat not cooking right and I can feel how annoying that was to deal with as someone who has worked in food service for a few years. It's not easy and that's why I try to be patient with people, especially new hires.
Food Gonna be blunt and just be real, it wasn't great. The selection was good enough because it provided most of the good stuff at a kbbq restaurant. The downside is how the meats were bland and let me explain before you blow off my head, kbbq needs a dipping sauce for thinner cuts of none marinated meats. Eating without it leaves the meat dry and unfulfilling to eat. There were three sauces on the table which were good don't get me wrong but if you don't like them then good luck.
Price Oh my god THE PRICE! 39.99 for this way too overpriced. I know this is a new business but man that's steep considering the quality of the food. Another restaurant for comparison called Hungry hotpot, a place that provides higher quality of food, more items to select cost less (32.99 for dinner). Again, I know I'm bashing really hard but man it's just too expensive for what you're getting. The term, "you get what you pay for" doesn't apply here.
Would I recommend it? Not right now. $140 + tip + tax came out to be $170. Not worth your time and money, there's better and CHEAPER options out there. There's much that needs to be improved such as service and food quality. Just gonna mention it again, I'm never expecting Gordan Ramsey's beef wellington levels of food unless I'm actually eating his beef wellington. The price is too much and when you add up the total with tax and tip... yeah,...
Read moreDuring our two visits to the establishment, we encountered several issues that affected our dining experience. On our first visit, we were served a side dish that appeared to have been previously served to another customer because there some rice on it. Upon informing the waiter, he promptly replaced it with a new one. The food was satisfactory, and the authentic Korean side dishes were particularly enjoyable. On our second visit, we discovered a small cockroach on the table, which caused significant distress to my wife. I promptly removed the insect with a napkin before proceeding with our meal. However, I refrained from reporting the incident to the staff, despite my wife’s insistence. Although we had already experienced a noticeable decline in appetite, we decided to complete the food we had ordered. Additionally, we observed numerous food items on the floor that could potentially attract pests such as cockroaches. While the food quality was acceptable and the authentic Korean side dishes were delectable, it is imperative that the establishment’s owner recognizes that the overall dining experience encompasses not only the culinary offerings but also other factors such as the provision of fresh food and the maintenance of a pest-free environment. Failure to address these concerns would likely result in a loss of customer satisfaction and hinder the establishment’s ability to attract and...
Read moreThere was big regret after seeing this place plastered all over social media… spent more time on ads rather than the service but I digress.. walk in towards the end of the rush hour and was seated in 15-20mins. We had only two servers in the restaurant and they were very nice but one of them was very rushed since their shift was ending. We placed our order, but we were told that we had to order the whole menu first which was odd( usually order ala carte ). 15-20mins. I was looking around the restaurant and noticed that the couple that came after us were being served much faster than we were. (Mind you we put the order in well before them) … We got our order but there were no sides so we asked for the sides to come out- another 10 minutes… the quality of meat was good but it was not worth the price. we let the server know that we didn’t want some items off the menu when we placed our order but were given the items anyways.. “AYCE” menu is 40 dollars per person… 2 hour seating limit… you’ll spend more time waiting before getting the food you order. Usually KBBQ places provide you with tongs and scissors, I cooked with my chopsticks for the first half, and got the tongs and scissors toward the end of our meal after asking the servers repeatedly. I know the restaurant has just opened, hopefully the next few months will get better. There are better alternatives for KBBQ that are less than...
