We had ordered chicken majestic to start with. Followed by spring dosa and Priya special chicken masala with garlic naan. The appetizer, was nice and tasty. Spring dosa was just like masala dosa, not at all like how I expected it to be. Usually spring dosa has a stuffing of veggies in a shezwan sauce but this was just yellow mashed potatoes with some carrot and onions. The sambar and the red chutney was particularly very good. Sambar was thick and authentic with good flavors and a nice blend of vegetables. The best dish of the meal was Priya special chicken curry with basmati rice and naan. The chicken was absolutely delicious and the flavors were so rich and tasty, we totally loved it. Portion sizes are great as well. We finished with mango lassi which was cool and creamy and fresh. I have taken off one star for the service. We were seated for full 20-25 mins before anyone noticed us and served us water and gave us menus. We were on a tight time schedule so this attitude was a little annoying for us. Overall the food was great, will surely stop by the next time we are in Lowell.

Writing a review for Priya lunch buffet because I don’t see any recent reviews for it. As soon as you enter this restaurant you can tell that there are a lot of options waiting for you. I was seated fairly quickly because I got there early after the buffet started. For a buffet with the price I paid, I am giving this 5 stars. The options are plenty for vegetarians and non veg diets. From chicken biryani, tandoori chicken, fish curry, goat curry to butter paneer and vegetable biryani. You can definitely hit your protein goal here. The staff is very attentive and would refill our water before it even ran out. The place is clean and open. It is in a basement so there is a lack of ventilation but, I took off only one star in the atmosphere category because of that. There were three dessert options which were traditional and also flan if you want something different. Overall a really good experience with great staff and good food. The buffet is weekends only I believe but they don’t make you feel rushed.

Was very happy eating here. The food was delicious. I loved it all and they tend to turn down the spice levels on default. However, there wasn't any indication of spice level on the menu, so be careful if you don't like really spicy food. The paneer Masala and paneer biryani wasn't spicy, but the lentil soup was more spicy than some if my fellow diners. The staff is helpful and friendly, so don't be shy asking them for help on spice levels. There is a water fountain in the middle of the dining room, which is kind of fun. Some kids from a different table got a real kick out of it. I will be going back to try the buffet on Sunday dinner and Wednesday dinner. This place is NOT wheelchair accessible. You actually have to go down a full flight of stairs from the front door to get to the restaurant.

We are going to Priya restaurant for over 5 years so far. I love this restaurant. I have consistent quality. Good ambiance for children. And because restaurant is in basement, cell phone signal is not reachable, so everyone enjoys the food as well good timing. Service and server are the same over these years. I would like to give different review for different cousins and food.

Weekend Buffet & Dinner buffet: Me and my friends love weekend and dinner buffet. They have wide verity of options, great taste. Always have good options.

Party: Banquet hall is one of the good feature of the Priya restaurant. It is cheap as compare to other places as it comes with complete package like with service + food + hall. I been to three separate parties. Here what I noticed. In all the three parties there were non-veg food. • Food was creepy • There were leftover small chicken pieces in chicken curry, also in paneer dish there was very less paneer in it. As compare to normal dine in food, this I would give negative review for this food. • Hall and carpet is extremely dirty. • Bad ambiance • One server assigned to server over 70 people • Food were not consistent in quality as well test.

Takeout, Party Takeout, Dinner: Good quality. In one incident as Indian we always order Medium spicy food. We know how spicy it should be very well. Once we ordered baby corn appetizer and it was extreme spicy like cook forgot to add spice and he added spice second time. We asked server to change the food. From that time onwards, server keep teasing our spice level. We ordered same food when our friends were with us. They like extreme hot food. The thing I do not like it server remembered that we requested for less spicy food and asked to change the food. He was keep asking for spice level. This time also we ordered Medium spicy and they gave us extreme spicy that no one able to eat it. Server taunted us that “No one ever complained about spicy food but you guys”. We returned food first time in last 4 years because it was spicy. We were not faking. I feel like server changed order while going to kitchen as well I don’t like he remembered our order and taunting us every time we visit that place. Other than that food is excellent. I would not recommend Indochinese food as they not specialized in it.

Weekday Lunch: Weekdays lunch buffet is small but price wise excellent. Food quality is good.

Most important, while eating food focus on your food. Always check whatever you are eating. Do not get surprised with something unexpected. I heard stories but haven’t...

Disappointed with Our Recent Experience

We chose this restaurant to celebrate my children’s graduation, as we’ve been loyal customers and visited more than 15 times, even bringing friends and family. Unfortunately, this recent experience left us deeply disappointed.

We called ahead at 8:30 PM to place our order, knowing the restaurant closes at 10 PM, but were told that phone orders are only accepted for takeout. Hoping to save time, we asked to order in advance but were refused, so we had to go to the restaurant to place our order in person.

The food was served without much delay, and we finished eating around 9:50 PM. However, as we were eating, one waiter, in particular, made us feel extremely uncomfortable by repeatedly staring at us as if urging us to leave quickly. This behavior was unprofessional and disrespectful, especially during what was supposed to be a celebration.

To make matters worse, my son went to use the restroom at 9:40 PM, which is located all the way in the basement. When I wanted to use the restroom shortly after, I was told it was locked. I then informed them that my son was still inside, and at first, they seemed unaware of this. Thankfully, they unlocked the restroom, but it was concerning to think that my son could have been locked inside.

This level of impatience and lack of courtesy completely ruined our celebration and mood. It’s unfortunate that a restaurant we’ve loved and supported so many times treated us this way. We understand closing times, but as customers who were making an effort to finish promptly, we expected better hospitality.

If you’re planning to dine here, I would strongly recommend going well before 8:30 PM to avoid experiencing the same treatment. Unfortunately, we have decided not to return to this...

We had a party over the weekend at Priya. This has been the 4th time we had used the venue mainly for the party hall. The food is mediocre, not very great and not bad at all. Surprisingly, the food was very good compared to the last few times! Kudos to the chefs. I give a 2 star for the service. The people who help around in the party hall, are humble, but the manager definitely needs a refresher course on customer service. I give a 0 star if it is for him. He messed up with the timing when appetizers had to be served and seemed careless when we went and reminded him about it. He was busy filling up the buffet area like the party hall was free food. Basically, the spread for $25 for an event is flawed..and then, the attitude that comes with it is brutal. He also messed up our appetizer order and was just unapologetic about it. He simply blamed the person who called to place the order and did not take any responsibility for the mistake. Unfortunately, food industry is also a service industry. And it looks like Priya is only looking for money over service. Not a good sign. I do not think I recommend anyone to the party hall although unfortunate for the folks around, we have very less options of party hall around here. The chefs are amazing and definitely the restaurant is good food wise. 0 stars for customer respect. Really...
