This KFC is by far the worst KFC I have ever been to. I’m originally from Hampton and the KFC there is always hot and fresh. I visited this location and it’s one of those split Taco Bell KFC. I ordered a 3 piece chicken meal with mash potatoes and medium Mountain Dew.
The women taking my order asked me if I wanted to donate a dollar to military kids, and she would offer me a military discount if I did. I never heard of this charity so I proceeded to ask questions about it. Like how much of the money actually goes to the children and not to someone’s paycheck( you would be surprised how many charities only give 10 cents of every dollar to the specific cause and the rest to a CEO’s salary). She seemed like she really didn’t know so she just said all of it.
I declined to donate and when I got to the window she asked me if I was sure I said no again. Then she took my card swiped it and then handed me my card back. Her smile was gone, and when she handed me my food she said” here”, and closed the window. That didn’t bother me as much but when I got home I opened the container and the chicken had clearly been sitting under the heat lamp long past the hold time. The skin was soggy and falling off the chicken, not to mention really dark. The biscuit looked like it had been cooked 8 hours prior, and the mash potatoes had little to no gravy and tasted old. The only thing good was the drink.
I attempted to call the business but no one ever picked up the phone. KFC needs to hire a secret shopper or do a pop up inspection to see the state of this place. If you don’t believe go there for yourself, because I for one will not...
Read moreTo be 100 honest, this location skeeves me out. We have been there 2x in the past month. On the first visit, all the tables in the lobby were filthy.
When I asked to have a booth wiped, so my family could sit down, the employee thoroughly sanitized and wiped our booth; but didn't clean any of the others. There were some errors with our order as well, but honestly, that's a common occurrence with all the taco bells in this area, not just this tacobell/kfc location.
Two days ago my family had a split request for tacos/chicken again, and this location was closest. I disclosed my feelings about the conditions of the lobby on our way there, and agreed I'd give them another chance.
This time my husband took note too. It was awful. Bits of food were literally everywhere, even the facade of the building is dirty. There is grime so thick and putrid on the entry door, Id doubt a razor blade could remove it, and it leaves an odor on your hands upon contact.
We left after taking a glance around, I washed my hands at the 7eleven next door, and we opted to travel to the location at 6544 Indian River Rd instead. That location is clean, orderly and sanitary.
I highly recommend AGAINST...
Read moreI had just moved to the area. This Taco Bell is five mins from my new house. The first time I went there they screwed up my order badly. As an example of how dumb their mistakes were, I had ordered Taco Bell and I asked for hot sauce at the window. When I got home I realized they gave me KFC hot sauce. Doh! Who does that?
I called and spoke to the manager and they apologized and took down my name and put it on a list and said to come in and get the correct order for free sometime. Two weeks later I came back through the drive thru to get my order. They told me my name wasn't on their list and they had just got new management so my name might have gotten lost in the shuffle. They refused to give me any free food at all. Not even a free taco. What a mess.
Needless to say I had a poor first impression and they haven't done anything to improve on that. Since it is only five mins away I reluctantly go there often. It is almost a guarantee that they will screw up your order, not label food items, accidentally charge your card twice, or something stupid like that. I give them two stars because the food quality is better than some Taco Bells I've been to but it is still worse...
