I went to this place to get a drink with someone I met. I got a Long Island ice tea and it had a bug in it. Told the lady that doesn’t speak and or understand English very well and she actually gave me a little hard time for asking for another one, as if she wanted me to go ahead and drink it, which I didn’t. Now, she gives me another one and low and behold, there is another bug in this drink as well. Again, I said to her, “there is another bug in my drink ma’am, again”! I said, jokingly but not jokingly, “I should get this for free and she went off on me yelling at me telling me if you don’t like it a, not a typo, here, while whaling her hands around, you can leave and go somewhere else and not come back here. I was like,” you got to be kidding me, this is my second drink with a bug in it and that’s how you treat your customers “? I got the drink for free after she realized it but she needs to stop serving all together and stay home. She’s not equipped for that type of work at all. First time at Mai's! Walked in was greeted by Mai herself. The decor is a relaxed time of feel come in and shoot pool and just eat. Which I like. So I got a menu and didn't know she was a little mix of both Chinese and American food. I love my Chinese food so I got the beef and broccoli with steamed white rice I was also there with my mom who got the chicken wings. And my cousin and his wife who they both got chicken gizzards with fries and my cousin got shrimp fried rice. Let me tell you...when they brought out all of our food. Omg...they give you your money worth. I am talking this is alot of food and well worth it too. So flavorful and 😋 yummy. The egg rolls are big and fresh. Called in fried fish dinner with Mac and cabbage as sides. I was little disappointed today both of my sides just weren't good, now the cabbage tasted as if someone just dropped the entire thing of pepper in it, but I think it would've been good if not so much pepper that was all you taste. Now as for the Mac it was edible, you can tell it was reheated for today but on top of that I believe it was put in microwave and forgotten (mayb just assuming) it was hard burnt but not oven burnt but like hard from microwave. The fish itself was good. So I'll stick with individual items instead of dinner, haven't had any luck with their side food. I usually get a porkchop sandwich which is very good.
