Pizza Hut — Restaurant in Chesapeake

GLUTEN-FREE EATERS BEWARE. They do NOT have gluten-free pizza like the website says.

I have Celiac Disease and was looking for pizza to enjoy tonight. Pizza Hut is the only place that delivers where I live and so I was excited to see that they added a gluten-free option to the website since they didn't have it before. The pizzas came on time but my gluten-free 10 inch looked like the same size as my husband's large and the crust looked way too fluffy to be GF (if you know, you know).

The delivery driver didn't say anything to me about it not being gluten free, so we immediately called the store. A manager answered and said that they don't sell gluten-free pizza, and she seemed a bit confused. She wasn't exactly the most sympathetic, but I can get over that. It's now on me to call back later this week so I can talk to a different manager who can actually issue refunds. We wouldn't have even ordered from this place if we knew they didn't have gluten-free pizza. Thank goodness I called and asked because I could have gotten really sick if I ate that pizza. It blows my mind that no one mentioned to us anywhere along the pizza making and delivery process that it wasn't gluten free when our order details clearly have it shown as so.

I mentioned to the manager that they need to have the gluten-free crust option removed from their website and she said that they have notified corporate about it several times but have never heard back, so obviously they know...

Communication is not strong with this one. Called to get an estimate of how much the pizza I wanted to order for myself and my Mom early in the day. Got the estimate and called back to order it later in the day. The price is completely different than the estimate we were told earlier and the money money my Mom had prepared. Anyway, ordered the pizza for deliverer and was told it would take an hour and a half due to one delivery driver. Okay, fine, still order. Get a call in about 15mins asking if we ordered one pizza or two, confirmed we ordered one pizza and confirmed the order again. They then said they will be right there with the delivery. Get another call in a few minutes asking if we can pick up the order due to only having one delivery driver and the store closes at 8PM! I am flabbergasted at this point. I cannot pick up the order, I don't have a car and specifically said I need the order delivered and they said okay and when it will be here previously. They then say I can cancell or door dash it but there is no guarantee it will get to me! I tell them to cancell it. 5 minutes later there this a knock at the door and the pizza is now here?! This was the most awkward, confusing, lack of communication and frustrating experience my mom and I had to go through. Especially as she just got out of the hospital not even an hour prior and just wanted pizza! Please get it together for the sake of...

I had the worst experience at this location. I got to the pizzahut at the time my email said the order would be ready for pickup. The screen in the store said my order was "cutting" so I sat and waited. When it had said "ready" for a few minutes, I asked the cashier if it was ready. She checked and said it would be a few more minutes. 20 minutes later I asked again. She went to the back and came back and said nothing to me. I had to ask again and then she told me they had to remake it and it would be 3 minutes. 30 minutes later it still was not out and I asked again. She went and asked someone and that lady said it was done a bit ago and they "looked" for it and couldn't find it. Finally after an hour of sitting there (on top of the 20 mins after ordering) waiting 2 cold pizzas and 1 hot pizza were thrust at me with no apology. I requested my tip be removed from my prepay. The lady went to the back and came back and said the manager would do it. I waited. She came back and said she won't do it now. She will do it later. I refused to leave until it was removed. They just walked away. Finally a guy was walking by and they stopped him and he removed it. I don't mind waiting on a busy night but that was ridiculous and many people came and got their orders that were after me on the list. There was no open communication...
