This used to be our go to for good Chinese food. We picked up food often. We didn't need to check the order it was always perfect. Then they started shorting us food. We live in Moyock so it's a bit of a round trip and we pass other Chinese places to get it it. So when we got home and opened our bags something was always missing or the order had the wrong meat or barely any meat. The first time we wrote it off as a mistake. The second time I called to let them know. I hoped they would make it right and replace the missing part of order. Instead they were rude and accused me of lying. I mentioned that this had happened before and we let it go, that made the woman even angrier. She was insulting. Most of their food is good but average Chinese for the area. We were visiting the area and ordered from Shun Xin for dinner. Overall we enjoyed the tasty flavors. However, we felt that the restaurant was tacky in the way they cook and charge for their food. First of all, this restaurant tends to use onions as 'fillers' to make the dishes appear full. A 1/3 of our lomein dish was loaded with big onion wedges, conveniently stacked on the bottom of the container hidden away. I don't remember other Chinese restaurant using onions in their lomein dishes. Other meat stir fry dishes we ordered were also overwhelmingly and unnecessarily loaded with onions. Secondly, we asked for extra shrimps on our 'jumbo' shrimp fried rice dish, expecting a couple of dollars more. However, Shun Xin charged us $1 for each extra regular size shrimp they added on. I have never had a problem with this restaurant. The people have always been courteous. The food has always been hot and plentiful. As I live fairly close, I pick my orders up, most of the time. The few times that I have used their delivery, the service has been quick and the food hot. I would highly recommend this restaurant. After reading some of the other reviews, I've come to the conclusion that some are posting reviews for another restaurant. While almost all that work there are of Asian decent, I wouldn't just make the assumption that they are illegal. Also, some have complained about items that aren't even on the menu. Please make sure that you're reviewing the restaurant that you actually went to. The owner of this restaurant is a hard working family man. They do not need you to hurt their business with bad reviews of food/service that...
