What an awful experience my family just had! We have eaten at this location probably 2x per week since we moved back to Chesapeake in August. We are creatures of habit, cheese dip, fresh guac, same dishes each time. My husband gets the Alambres every time, our food has always been spot on. Tonight was different, the cheese was RANCID! My husband took a few bites, about 4...spit it in his napkin & recognized it was the cheese. We told our waitress, every other meal tasted great, we relayed that, weren’t upset & he just wasn’t hungry at that point. We let the waitress know we were fine, no issue. A young lady comes from the kitchen with an EMPTY container, I guess she was trying to say was mozzarella cheese, this young lady was confrontational, rude & asked my husband “how were you able to eat it if it was rotten?” I let her know she could leave, we weren’t interested in discussing further & went to the front to get a manger. He was rude, confrontational & let me know the young lady was his daughter who he sent because his English wasn’t good. His English was fine enough to loudly try to talk over me & tell me “that’s how mozzarella tastes when you get close to the brain”, I’m a cheese lover & this wasn’t pungent cheese, it was rotten. Our family will never spend another dime in this restaurant, not because mistakes don’t happen, but because of the way the leadership handled themselves in a situation where “I’m so sorry that happened” would have been perfectly sufficient. This manager never apologized for our experience, he blamed our server...who was awesome, his English....which was fine, but never took an ounce of accountability for the way his daughter spoke to us or the fact that a...
Read moreReally wish I had taken pictures... We have been to this location a couple times, it's further away from home, so to come out here is a matter of dedication. The first few times, it was really good, so we talked it up to family who came to dinner with us. Showed up around 3:30-4, with only a couple other tables occupied. I ordered a tropical margarita, but to my surprise, apparently that gets served with multiple 3-4 inch black hairs. Check your drinks people! We all ordered dinner, 1 came out right. I asked if it was possible to remove the bell peppers in the fajita taco salad, she said yes, came with an overload of bell peppers and an inch of standing liquid in the shell. Family ordered the green enchiladas, it was definitely red... hers was still okay, she ate it. While all this was going on, I asked for a bud light, which they only have in bottles, and when she opened it, it clearly had a coors cap on top. That plus the taste of the beer leads me to believe they are bait and switching.... reusing bottles and refilling with flat, crap draft?? Idk. It wasn't good. Will definitely not return, which sucks, because it's been really hard to find a good mexican place to eat here in the...
Read moreWe came in as a party of three with maybe two other tables occupied. Of course, who goes to get enchiladas without margaritas? We ordered our drinks first. One member of my party order The Tropical margarita, which was great on the first sip until we realized there were multiple hairs in the drink. Whatever, it was taken off and we moved on to food. Every single one of our orders were wrong, simple things. I got green enchiladas and got red, one of my friends ordered no bell peppers in the taco salad and there was still bell peppers which wasn’t a huge deal except for the strange excessive amount of liquid in the salad. One of the Bud Light bottles we asked for had a coors light cap…. It’s very sketchy, not to mention the service was awful. The bartender seemed that she would rather be anywhere else. She came off rude and cold. I’m very disappointed, this place came highly recommended to me after moving from El Paso and I absolutely love Mexican food but everything here was disgusting, sketchy,...
