Fullerton Inn and Restaurant — Restaurant in Chester

The Inn needs some TLC. Our beds were hard as a rock and the pillows not much better. The street noise lasted until quite late at night, including trucks, it was difficult to sleep. We were sitting on the deck and were told we had to leave the deck area by 6 pm because there was a "car show" happening. We had to leave the deck even though we were staying there? Really? It turned out there were 5 cars. We went up to a deck on the second floor attached to one of the rooms and it hadn't been cleaned for a long time.

The wait staff was very pleasant and made our dinner fun. We had an excellent dinner, the steak was great and the service was great.

I only ordered an appetizer and a glass of wine, but based on my experience I didn’t end up ordering a meal. What I did try was served cold and had no flavor. When one of the servers (she wasn’t even waiting on me) asked me how it was, I said “just ok.” Her response “Terrific!” Ok, clearly wasn’t listening/didn’t care. Maybe their main dishes are better, but based on the simple overpriced item I did try, I can’t recommend eating here unless you don’t want...

The new owners won't use the fireplace at lunchtime because they say there aren't enough customers. The fireplace is what gives this place the atmosphere.
