We had a wonderful barn dinner at Bliss Farm with some friends on June 14th. The food was fresh, lively and well worth the price. It began with a great selection of cheeses and homemade focaccia while we sipped our own wines and cocktails inside a classic Vermont barn. After strolling around the farm for about an hour we sat down at long tables for a fresh salad of tomatoes and Bliss Farm greens tossed in a tangy balsamic dressing. The main was a hearty paella served with a side of local asparagus atop an outstanding ricotta cheese. While we were eating Nevin was busy whipping fresh cream which he served over field strawberries for dessert. It was a fantastic night. Highly recommend an evening here. Food, atmosphere and the BYOB option make Bliss Farm one of the best values in Southern Vermont. Open Friday’s serving oysters and pizza and a themed barn dinner every Saturday.
