What an incredibly talented artist and nice guy. I remember seeing his work at the fairs in VT years ago, and always loved it. I'm a CT native and would go up to my father's cabin on the weekends. Fast forward 15+ years, and I see one of his bear carvings on Facebook Marketplace close to my home. So I picked it up. Reached out to Barre on Facebook messenger and he gave me great advice on preserving it for outdoor usage, as it had spent its previous life indoors. It's now refinished and drying.
