Heading down the loop from Stroudsburg to Wind Gap, I was coming through Route 209 in Brodheadsville and finally stopped in the Meadowbrook Diner, a place I’ve driven past for over 10 years and finally today was the day!! cashonly

Retaining much of the old school flavor of its construction, Meadowbrook has the typical countertop seating and comfy booths off to the left and some tables also. The old school glass fixtures give it classic character. Parking is a breeze with a simple turn off of 209 right in front.

The menu has a good variety and what you’d expect from diners. I got the vegetable omelette with rye toast and home fries. The coffee was good and kept full and service was on point and the ladies here were friendly.

The food arrived in about 10 minutes and was spot on! There was also quite a crowd entering and leaving steadily on a Tuesday mid-morning, which is a good sign of a busy place!

For old school diner service and quality food I would stop back at the Meadowbrook without question! Make sure if you’re nearby to stop in and see...

We were on a camping trip over the weekend at Chestnut Lake Campgrounds and decided to come here for breakfast. It was only a few mins from the campsite. Looks could be deceiving! From the outside, it diner doesn't look as big but once inside, it had a hometown feel. The waitress who served us was friendly, nice and personable. The food was excellent and price was on point. We ordered a couple of things but my son and I ordered the waffle with egg and bacon. The waffle was hot, soft and fluffy and the bacon was excellent! The rest of the staff looked friendly greeting people as they came in, everyone was laughing and enjoying their meals. HORRIBLE and DESPICABLE experience at this restaurant! If you are a person of color, BEWARE! My husband and I were treated horribly by the hostess. We came in and she briefly glanced at us and told us to sit where we'd like. Her demeanor towards us was a big contrast in how she treated a small group that was seated after us. We had already been sitting 10 minutes and watched as she smiled and interacted with that table and a few others, providing them with placemats and handing them menus. At that point, my husband asked if we could have menus and she rudely said someone will be right with you and proceeded to throw the menus at us! It was at that point we got up and left. I think it is horrible that you have such a VILE woman like that working at this establishment and I hope that something is done about her...
