This was a tough place to review honestly. This would have gotten a 2 star review but our waitress, Britni, saved the night with her wonderful service to our table. Now the nitty gritty.... the parking situation here is horrible. Many cars resorted to parking on the sides along the road. Get there early enough to hunt for parking space.
They had over 30 tv screens which was awesome. Would be nice if at least every 6th tv(since some games are similar played on tv) could have subtitles enabled for people to read.
When I walked in and took a few pictures one waitress (dirty blond) walked all the way across the floor and confronted me with an attitude on her face as in what are you doing? After I explained it was my first time here and am waiting on a few friends she nodded and walked off briskly. Not a warm welcome at all.
Pizza online looks great but don't be fooled. I ordered a plain cheese pizza and it was weird. Cheese tasted kinda bland and cheap then there were not enough sauce inside it between cheese and dough. Now the dough tasted burnt. It was not over cooked but it tasted burnt. I asked our waitress, B, if the pizza dough was fresh made or frozen. She had to go and check then informed me that the dough was, indeed as I suspected, frozen. This influenced the taste. You are buying frozen dough (which explains why other options were laced with heavy toppings like my friend who ordered chicken with BBQ to cover up the taste of the dough) im not sure if the ENTIRE pizza was frozen or not. The slice was not as crispy or crunchy but bent softly and was chewy. I had trouble eating that. I asked for parmesan cheese toppings and was given some. The ambience was very nice. They had a variety of people in there from families to football fans of all ages. Their lemonade was sweet(which I liked).
Again, I would have given this place a 1 to 2 star rating but our waitress really made the experience pleasant.
I can not comment on other types of food there but do not get pizza here unless you don't mind the frozen quality taste. (If the pizza was freshly made, I would have rated this a zero based on how it tasted)
If we come here again next time, ill try the burgers. (I wonder if they are frozen...
Read moreMy family and I have been going to good life since it has opened years ago and have never had the rude unacceptable service as we did today as we will not be returning to this location ever again. We put in a call in pick up order for 26 boneless wings paid for and to be picked up at 5:30 with a 20% tip for carryout. As I arrive and go to the bar the crew is finishing up social hour as I have to interrupt 5 minutes of standing next to them. I give them the first name last and last 4 of the phone number and the large woman bartender rudely said we don’t have it she probably called another location and turned away and started taking drink orders. I give her the benefit of the doubt and call the other locations just in case we missed placed the order, we did not. After we confirmed the number dialed and the receipt I walk in to be greeted by jackson machines who just plainly tells me we dont have it, come back with a receipt I am appalled at this point it over 30 minutes waiting and the wings are for a party. Luckily some lady walks from the back with the food with our name and number on and says here you go. Not one apology and when we called back to speak to a manager the large woman answered and said we were being rolled and good life was not at fault and asked what do you want from us? Hello maybe some compensation for your over priced cold wings? She said I’ll leave you a gift card at the bar and hung up. Never did I expect this from Goodlife (more like Sadlife) we will not be returning to...
Read moreThis place does have tasty food. I don't see them helping the COVID effort though (i.e. paper plates, masks, social distancing in the restaurant) until Douglas County enacts a mask order of some sort. Please be wary of dining in this place right now as the restaurant is operating business as usual with no precautions for patrons. Get take-out if you must.
EDIT: While I appreciate the owner's response and concern, it should be pointed out the following we observed: no masks on any servers and no social distancing within the bars (it was literally impossible to maintain 6 ft of distancing as all dining was available, many people sitting shoulder to shoulder at the bar even). Good Life does have carryout options available, and would support those efforts until their dining rooms are more COVID-friendly. It's literally their efforts that are damaging future business opportunities for those concerned about COVID spread. Would've welcomed these measures in place when we visited weeks ago, but I have no idea if they are in place without physically going to the restaurant again as the owner did not address specific measures for what they're doing to follow CDC...
