I absolutely LOVE this little 'hole in the wall' hidden gem which is owned and run by a couple which gives it a genuine 'Mom & Pop' status. They have a really nice selection of "meal combos" listed on the front wall menu as well as a'la carte plus a wonderful, very reasonably priced buffet which is small but always kept stocked with FRESH offerings that include garlic chicken (my favorite!!), broccoli beef, chicken on a stick, egg rolls, spring rolls, sweet & sour chicken, sesame chicken, fried butterfly shrimp, noodles, fried rice and steamed rice upon request, soups, cream cheese wontons, fried donuts, and a couple of dessert options. I actually prefer this small, locally owned & run restaurant's buffet over the larger ones in town primarily due to the fact that it is always hot and FRESH not to mention the price!! It is located on 4th St. (Hwy. 81) right next door to "Mama Carol's" restaurant. They have designated parking and DO have a drive-thru option but I prefer to either call in an order to go or go in and enjoy the buffet. Check it out, if You enjoy REALLY GOOD Chinese food then I know if You try it once You...
Read moreI don't understand how people are saying this food is good. This gruel is absolute garbage. Every dish has the same sweet tang in it. All the dishes tasted the same. Could not differentiate different so called meats. They all taste the same. Disgusting. Appetizers...where do I start. The beefTeriyaki sticks tasted boiled, not grilled. The cuts were grisell dominated, very little meat. The sauce tasted like that entree sweet tangy mystery. Crab ragoons...complete with that mystery sweet tang. I mean seriously...??? How is this place in business. Hot and sour soup tasted like there was lime in it. Wth??? Visually it looked like when you have a bowl of ice cream then fill the bowl with water to clean it. That's what it looked like. What a joke. All the review are mostly from 5 to 7 years ago. Don't even bother. China house in Mustang is by far the real deal if you wanted real chinese food. Absolutely...
Read moreFood flavor was very good, indeed it was very authentic flavor. I ordered the orange chicken, it was good, but only 4 small pieces. The chow mein was a lot different than I expected, it was only cabbage, carrots and chicken. While the flavor was very good, I was a little disappointed because I expected this: In California Chow mein is noodles with cabbage, carrots, green onion and small pieces of chicken. The fried rice, again, was nothing more than white rice with a scoop of beef broth dumped over it. I expected it to be actual fried rice with peas, corn, carrots and chicken. But it wasn't. Overall the food was good, we'd go back again, but I'd try something else. And the girl who works behind the counter that helped us was more than nice and helpful.
