Tacos El Limon — Restaurant in Chico

People are nice, and a little place connected to a small market. Reviews were positive and since we already tried several, one more made its appeal. Food: Sope Carnitas, $3. She liked it, but I noticed she has a sweet spot for Sopes in general 4 Stars. Tacos, Carne Asada and Chicken, $1.70 each. She liked the chicken and passed on the carne asada. Both with cilantro, onions, salsa. Small size and carne asada diced small was okey. 3.5 Stars. Enchiladas (3) rice and beans, $10. These were more like something else, just not in the game. Asked for Pastor, Carne Asada, and Carnitas. Made no difference as they failed to impress. Rice, beans, acceptable small amounts. Lukewarm, plain average. Enchiladas? Not really. 2 Stars. Salsa a little dull, edible. 2.5 Stars. Lady was nice and generous. Thetraffic of clientele would say low at around 5:45 PM. Total $17. Wish them good business, as they surely deserve...

I'm in town working. Read the consistently good reviews. Saw another reviewer talk about my favorite, Chile relleno burritos. I had to make the trip to give it a try. I have now eaten dinner here twice. It was so good last night I came back tonight. Every place makes them different. However, the way they make em is now my new favorite. Clean, no extra sauce. Perfectly cooked and deseeded. More rice than beans and salsa if you'd like in the burrito. I'll try to get a picture next week when I'm in town again. It's just so hard to stop once I start. I've had tacos and a quesadilla and they were excellent too. The relleno to me is the measuring stick. If it's done right; everything else they make has got to be good. We drove down from Canada and are visiting family here and across the USA. We stopped and got a couples massage at our favorite place, Asian Relax Massage in Chico, just right near this great Taco place. We do both love tacos, real good tacos. Their tacos are so very delicious! She likes the shrimp tacos and I love the Carne Asada tacos. We got so full. It's not fancy looking, so "Guys-don't take her their for a first date". By the second date you will know if she dines only in fancy places or just likes real good food. We will be back in...
