I’ve been coming here for years… probably 20. The staff has changed a little over the years, some still remain like Carol, Beth, Scott… they have a new amazing cook… in SO many ways, also some new wait staff that all enjoy the job.
The food is fantastic, after all these years. They always have my order right, and all of the staff enjoying having a good time, while serving you food. The coffee is good, and the deserts…. (Well I used to bribe them to make me a full pan of the Apple Crisp) are great! For a small diner style kitchen, with a short staff… increasing cost of food… they still hit the above average mark every week. I’m proud to say I love coming to this place! And I feel like my day can’t start till I have my 3 eggs, destroyed home fries… toast and bacon. Yes they close early, but all good diner do! That’s the secret. Just means you need to wake up and not be lazy! Hahaha
Thank you for staying open through everything this world has thrown at you guys! Scott, thanks for taking things over. And don’t let the bad reviews you might see fool you. Everyone can have a bad day, and be temporarily insane.
I give this place 5 stars… and always recommend people to visit while they...
Read moreWe lived across from it so hoped it would be a regular place for us to visit. Found the staff rude and they would ignore us helping new (always much older) people coming in. If your over 50 you will likely find them warm and hospitable, if not don't bother going. The food was always okay but overpriced and I couldn't figure out why because our bill was always much higher then menu prices (at least $15-$20 more, too much to account for tax or something). Eventually I figured out they were charging us for condiments. If we asked for ketchup, syrup, whip cream on our pancakes etch it was an extra $2-5 each. We even figured out they charged us an extra $2 for chocolate chips on a pancake that was supposed to have chocolate chips on them anyway. I think they were even charging us for the little jam packets and things they leave out on the table even when we didn't use any. I think it's just what they do to younger people or people who come in with kids to try and discourage them from...
Read moreI absolutely LOVE the food and the value here. It used to be one of my best kept secrets but recently it's popularity has gone up. Now most days it's pretty crowded and can have up to a 45 minute wait on the weekends. I love that it serves up home cooked food at a great value for the price where you can converse with strangers as if they were family. Unfortunately, since they've become more popular, it feels stuffy and like they've outgrown their space so much of that atmosphere that I enjoyed so much has all but disappeared. Now, you'll have to sign your name on the wait list at the counter. I also wish they would stay open longer. I honestly can't rave enough about the...
