3010 S Larimee, Cicero. Service was Extremely awful. Upon entering, music was extremely loud(2pm). Empty. I first tried ordering but the cashier was more concerned with her cell phone. Second try, she starts talking to the cook that’s near the table drinking water. 3rdtry, she cannot hear me because the music so loud!!! I ask for help in explaining some words in Spanish, and she had an smart attitude. Cashier: “ you don’t understand the prices?” I replied as I’m pointing to the menu, I understand the prices, numbers are universal in English and Spanish. I asked her can she tell me / translate what I was pointing at? But she couldn’t explain her self. I told her I don’t read Spanish well. I was looking for something that had a little of everything. Finally agreed to a dish called “Mureta” $62. And she said it’s 20-30 minutes. As I’m waiting I’m reviewing the prices. And she charged me extra $22 for something I did not order. Less then 10 minutes waiting, I assume my order was being made as I seen a female in the kitchen. Not knowing the male cook sitting at the table scratching his head, playing with his baseball cap, finally gets up and goes to the kitchen. But I’m still puzzled at this point because I thght the female in back was the cook. And the male continues talking to the unprofessional cashier.(convo in Spanish). As I went to her to explain the extra charge, she continued her bad unprofessional attitude!!! Tells me, I order that!! I told her no I didn’t, I agreed on the “Muerta!” And not to spicy I’m feeding my kids. (2xs) she assures it won’t be spicy. She turn around and said something in Spanish to the cooks, As I’m counting my money, she tells me to move because there another guy sitting at the table/ She kept the receipt Finally, 25 minutes later. Received my food. Unprofessional cashier only said; “ Foods ready!!”(attitude). I still said Thank you but she didn’t replied anything!! Once home, I open , only to discover shrimp was very tiny, and crawfish/Langostinos were just as small. Only 2 mussels. 3 crab legs. Very little pulpo. This was given in a 1/2 size aluminum tray. Making it look like it’s alot. And Maliciously!!! Was extremely spicy!!! Service was poorly and unprofessional. Cashier speaks both languages but unable to explain menu. I speak very little Spanish. Waiting 25-30 minutes while the cooks is taking his time at the table, drinking soda, and coversating with cashier, Is UNEXCEPTIONAL!!! No one else was in there. Small portions for that price is outrageous!! Over loading the tray with liquid is the only thing that was MUCHO!! I will never go back ! I do not recommend this place because of service, attitude, cell phone more important!!, cook flirting/ conversating with cashier. Where he should be preparing customers food!! Or he could have been talking to her while no one there. Nothing to do!! Maybe lower the music so cashier can hear the order!!! This is very disappointing and I won’t go back. If you want poor quality food and service. This is your place! The server took over 20 minutes just to hand out menus. Not to mention the restaurant wasn't busy at all. The portions are extremely small and over priced. I ordered my son a carne asada which looked like a piece of arrachera and was salty as the stale tostadas they brought out for appetizer. Not even ceviche with the chips. Yeah I know it gets better... The server was bringing out the dishes one at a time. Like if I was eating at the signature room. Bringing out the side of rice 10minutes before your actual food gets there and my kids drinks one at a time. I ask him for plates and silver ware and they are no where to be found. The server then comes up to my table with food in his mouth and says he will bring them while wiping his mouth with hands. Then Hands me paper plates and plastic forks with food still in his mouth. Bad service overall, called to placed and order and the girl was rushing me through the phone saying she had a long line, when placing my order I asked if it was possible to get a seafood parillada without shrimp since I’m allergic to it just adding extra of anything else, she asked the cook and they said yes it was possible, so I placed my order. Went to pick it up assuming everything was good for my surprise when I get home my order has shrimp, I called and told her my order had shrimp, she asked the cook what had happened and she got back telling me they don’t do parilladas without shrimp, when I had originally asked if it was possible and they told me yes, had they told me NO I would’ve order something else, her way to fix the mistake was telling me well come back and will refund you your money!!!
