Anjou — Restaurant in Cincinnati

We hosted our rehearsal dinner here and couldn’t have been more pleased with our evening turned out. The Anjou team went above and beyond to make sure we had a perfect evening. When planning our event, they responded to our emails in a timely manner, answered all our questions, and helped us execute our vision to perfection. We planned this all while being out of state too. The feel & design of the space is warm, inviting, and intimate - perfect for a rehearsal dinner. During the party, the team checked in with us multiple times to ensure our satisfaction & they were so great interacting & engaging all of our guests. The cocktails are truly one of kind. Our guests are still talking about how amazing the cocktails were. With the majority of our guests being from out of town, we wanted to show them why my husband and I love Cincinnati so much - Anjou knocked it out of the park for us. If you’re looking for a space to rent out for a party or even a fun date night, I couldn’t recommend Anjou more. They gave us true 5 star service. Thank you to the whole team for making our rehearsal dinner so special. We are grateful for memories we made there. And can’t wait to come...

Before the business issues arose, this was our favorite place in the neighborhood. After they FINALLY reopened, we went for a drink before dinner, and had SEVERAL issues in our short visit.

1. We sat at the bar, and were not even greeted for over 20 mins. We considered leaving, but at that point we couldn’t have gone anywhere else, so we stuck it out. Service was horrible. I was shocked.
2. Their new menus are not great-besides not listing the ingredients or notes of the cocktail and having horrible service, I opted for a French 75.
3. The “bartender” had NO clue was a French 75 was 🫣. He did ask what type of gin etc, and I said something herbal etc. -partly my fault-but I saw h confer with someone else so I assumed someone there had a clue-they did not. They used cucumber gin-and they shook the champagne with the cocktail rather than floating. It was HORRIBLE. I’m so sad what this place has become and I hope they get their act together or they’ll be closing...

This place is flawless! We got the privilege to experience Anjou tonight, and we saw firsthand why it has nothing but 5 star reviews! The location, the aesthetic, the lighting, the service, and the drinks... all were incredible. We sat at the bar (which if you've been following me, you know we prefer 😊), and it was perfect. The staff are very personable, knowledgeable, and down to earth, and they made great conversation. They're also down to make you any cocktail that you'd like (even if it's not on the menu); that went a long way with me. We had 3 on the menu and 3 not on the menu, and we loved every single one. I have absolutely nothing bad to say about this place; it is one of our new favorites....
