On 8/2/25, I used their website to place an order for a burger, fry, chicken nuggets and a water. I wanted to tip $4 but I accidentally tipped $400! I submitted the order before I realized my dumb mistake. When I saw the email receipt and the pending charge on my bank's online portal I almost fell out. When I called the store's phone number that was on my email receipt, I got the busy tone. The email receipt did not contain an option to cancel the order. I was trying to hold myself together.
I drove the 16 minutes to the restaurant in dead silence with the occasional tear ran down my face. When I arrived, I was greeted by an congenial server. I told her the story. She was very sympathetic to my situation. She discussed the matter with the cook which is the owner of the establishment. When she came back, she told me that he would correct the matter at the end of the night or first thing in the morning. I was trying not to panic because I didn't know how long that charge would sit in my account as pending. I did not want that charge to go through. My stomach was already hurting when I seen the email receipt but when she told me that I started feeling nauseous, my throat felt like someone was choking me and i was trying not to cry in front of everybody.
The owner must of seen me looking sick and distraught because even though he was the only cook and he had customers waiting for their food he stopped cooking, took his gloves off, came out from the kitchen and fixed the total right in front of me! After he adjusted the bill, I immediately felt a sigh of relief and I was happy and hungry again! He also gave me his personal number just in case his solution didn't work and a coupon for a free fry. I didn't realize this until I left but he also put extra chicken nuggets in my bag! The next day, the pending charge was gone and the correct amount was charged to my account.
Due to their superlative customer service and the freshness and A+ quality of their food, when I want a burger, instead of going to the Wendy's that's 5 minutes down the street from my house , I'm driving straight to Heyday!
Thank you so much for everything! I have been spreading the word about your delicious food and your magnificent customer service. I hope you have many years of...
Read moreI've visited this establishment twice before today, first time food and service was 4 out of 5 in my humble opinion, the second visit myself and a couple friends I invited to lunch ate in and I ordered fish sandwich, well my bun was cold but I ate the sandwich without any complaints I decided that next time I visit I will have them warm my bun. Today was that day, I ordered the fish sandwich and made a respectful request to toast the bun the lady at the cash register stated they won't do that. I replied that the last time I visited my fish sandwich was served with a cold bun and asked if she would ask the cook this lady came back and stated to me we will do it for you this time I had no ideal I was such an inconvenience when spending 15.00 on a Gordon's Fish Fish Sandwich the actual meal was not prepared with love and it was very evident that some feathers were ruffled. I apologize to the caucasian lady who brought me my food she had absolutely nothing to do with this transaction. Hey Dey thanks but I'm hurt by the light weight attitude and smugness you gave me. Good luck with your business but...
Read morePlace isn’t bad but our experience was way less than pleasurable. We visited tonight from out of town and someone CLEARLY came in from outside asking us to buy them food (while we were sitting at the bar). While we didn’t mind giving someone food, he was rather aggressive and added a “drink and fries” and rather than assist us, or maybe just give him the lemonade (we were clearly feeling uncomfortable and pressured), the waitress asked him what he wanted to drink, any sides? What else on your burger etc. I would just think they would give a somewhat intimidating person demanding food from a woman a quick meal and send him on his way. Not to mention, it’s your job to secure your establishment, maybe not charge me for drink and everything else...
