Its been five days and I can't stop thinking about this restaurant's food. This was hands down the best saag paneer I've ever had, the pakoras were amazing and I just ate the mint chutney I'd been saving and lamented that I wouldn't be able to have anymore. I'd read the reviews but I was skeptical because that many good reviews is often fluffed up but it surpassed expectations.
I have no idea how they are cooking their food but I am hooked.
To be honest I wasn't sure what I would be getting. The pictures looked like the saag paneer would be more watery or soupy than I was used to but actually it was thicker, so much thicker you almost could not call it creamy. Rich is the word I would say.
I opted for zero spice because I was sharing and it was solidly almost zero (which is a plus, since its hard to know what places consider what spice level) and yet it still had so many flavors in it. If you're into zero spice I'll say the only hint of spice is a mild warming you get after eating a little bit, but I didn't feel any bite, which was essential. The other taster, who can't tolerate spice confirmed it was edible for them and yet flavorful.
While the rose lassi and the paneer pakora didn't make the best I've ever eaten, there can only be one, so its a bit unfair of a metric. The rose lassi actually had hints of rose flavor in it, which I've only tasted in one or two other Indian restaurants (all the others I've tried seem to think straight strawberry yogurt flavor can pass as rose) so I enjoyed it a lot. The paneer was decent, I prefer a slightly fatter cut and more tingly flavoring but it was still yummy. Rice was pretty par for the course in both volume and taste.
However nothing I've eaten can beat the other items we got so second to best, pretty good and normal are literally the lowest bar compared to their tasty tasty best, and I don't consider any of that a low bar.
I'd go back in a heart beat if I could, and its on my list to try again when the opportunity arises in the future.
tldr; delicious....
Read moreOne morning i decided, That i was gonna order some mayas. So i pick up my phone and i went on google in the comforts of my house to acquire there number. On a nice cloudy day. Not to mention i was greeted in a very respectful and cheerful way. The food was very delicious I like the amount of spice that was put into the dish. The rice is nice and fluffy and slightly Seasoned which gives it that excellent texture when mixed together with the curry. What made my dish really pop was the garlic bread. It was very crunchy and lightly toasted with that buttery garlic tast.and golden exterior. I was very satisfied with my order. So here am giving compliments to the chef. And i will always be going here for now on. And last but not least he also called me back to see if i mistakenly gave him an extra 20. But i told him it was okay and that he could have it. After all the food is amazing. So if your in the area i recommend taking a lunch...
Read moreWe loved it! I couldn't tell you what we had because I often have Indian food and forget the name, but we all got something and shared it and everything we ate tasted great! The restaurant is small, perhaps 5-10 tables or so. The man that helped us, (he greeted us, seated us, answered the phone, helped serve the food) said that 80% of their business is take out. While we were eating, we saw a steady stream of people coming into pick up food to take out, and it was a Thursday evening. Very friendly nice staff, clean restaurant (a little cluttered, but clean). Not a lot for ambiance, but it was clean and nice and the food was excellent; defiantly I would recommend take out, dine in if you don't mind a hole in the wall kind of setting (I don't mean that disrespectfully, just don't know how to describe it). I will go back and I would take a friend if we were looking for place to eat. I...
