I visited this restaurant for the third time with my husband and another couple. When we arrived, we waited quite a while to be acknowledged by a hostess. After waiting, I walked over and asked the bald, African American man behind the bar if we should sit at one of the two open tables. He rudely responded, “no, you have to wait”, and continued to wait on others that arrived after us. We were finally seated by one of the servers. As she was taking our orders we watched this same man cheerfully great others (Caucasian ) groups that arrived after us, calling for someone to clear tables for them to be seated within minutes of their arrival. As other groups left after eating, he acknowledged them, even shook hands thanking them for coming. Two groups that arrived after us received their food, ate, boxed up left overs and left before we even got our food. The food was great, our server, a young Caucasian girl was great, and the atmosphere was great, except for this one rude man behind the bar. Being my third time here, I was hopeful that he would be different. It’s sad that he obviously has issues with his own race. A bit of training on customer service and how to treat ALL guest would be helpful, unless of course, he really doesn’t want to serve his own race. So, if you’re ok with being disrespected, treated rudely by this man, being served last, and not being acknowledged as a paying customer whose money spends just like the Caucasian person at the table next to you, then this is a great place to go. Our server obviously realized what was going on and was super friendly and accommodating. This man however was too much! I’ve given them three...
Read moreLet me tell you, as an Italian American roaming the streets of Cincinnati looking for delicious Italian food ,it is not an easy feat. However, this place hits the spot. My boyfriend recommended me to take some hometown friends from Cleveland here. I am glad we stopped by. When we were guided to a table the aroma of oregano and pizza sauce filled the air, making our hungry stomach's excited to see what was on the menu. The ceilings were high and the walls painted like I have never see before, it was very cool! The booth had a deck of playing cards on the table to use as we waited for our food. I ordered a veggie delight salad, it came with homemade garlic bread. The salad was delicious and the garlic bread was amazing. I will definitely order a full order of garlic bread next time I go there. I would have liked the salad to be bigger for the price, next time I will get a large salad. Haley and I asked if they could put the olives and mushrooms on only half of the pizza since we were sharing, he said they would all mix but will see what he can do. When we got it the whole pizza was covered with M&O. It was still very good but I wish he would have tried to split it up. My friend Patricia ordered the Italian grinder/ sub. She really liked it and it looked delicious. The prices are reasonable and the food is very good. I love the atmosphere and the old school games makes this place even better. The bathrooms are decorated different and cool! This place is perfect for a party of one or a big group! I will...
Read morePrevious experience was mostly positive. Tonight we got there about 8:00, after the Reds game. Service at first seemed fine. The food (mostly pizzas) took FOREVER to be served. Especially unfortunate since we had several young kids in our party. If they were "on top" of it, they would have at least asked about serving up the kids more quickly. Also, it bothers me to pay $7 for a 1/2 glass of wine. The food is decent, and the place has a lot of potential, however, it will be a while before I return. They were unsympathetic, and not the least bit apologetic. I was very...
