Walked in, great response and quickly greeted. Sat us right away. Drinks quick despite the place being busy. Chips and salsa delivery quick. Chips a little stale and not enough salt, salsa fairly good and fresh however not much taste and seemed watered down, had to add lemon. My meal was Juevos Rancheros that was just eh, lack of flavor, rice lack of flavor and a bit cold, beans typical. Wife had carne asada, steak was amazing and tender, really good. Kids had tacos, one of my son's said this was his favorite tacos now.
Outcome: This place could really benefit by boosting flavor. Plates were very large, presentation was excellent. Attentiveness was amazing by the waiters, food was quickly out, drinks were refilled, ambiance was good and comfortable seating for old guys like me. Good beer and alcohol selection at a decent price. Price was not too bad 109 bucks for 5 people, that's great. Overall tipped the waitress very well for their service and teamwork in that place was excellent 👍. Recommended for families.
Overall:
Clean and tidy, service 5 star. Food lacked luster and taste however still good. Ambiance great. Waiter's and waitresses very attentive and good at what they do.
I would try it if I were you. It's in a semi good neighborhood and great parking. Seems popular and lots of people. I really don't eat in restaurants where I see lower patron counts so this was surprising to see it quite busy, which is a...
Read moreUnfortunately, I recently had a disappointing experience at R Vida Cantina. I had placed an order over the phone for pickup over an hour before I arrived at the restaurant. Despite the long lead time, I was disappointed to find that my order wasn't ready when I arrived.
To make matters worse, I had to wait an additional 30 minutes before I received my food, with no explanation or updates from the staff or managers on why, aside from “the dish you ordered takes really long to make.” The lack of communication and attention from the restaurant staff left me feeling frustrated and undervalued as a customer.
While I understand that delays can happen in busy restaurants, it's important for staff to keep customers informed and address issues promptly. Unfortunately, this wasn't the case at R Vida Cantina.
As a customer, I expect to have a positive dining experience and feel valued by the restaurant staff. Unfortunately, this experience fell short of those expectations.
Despite the disappointment, I believe that R Vida Cantina has the potential to improve their communication and service. However, until these issues are addressed, it's understandable if customers choose to take their to-go business elsewhere in search of a more reliable and customer-focused ordering experience.
Overall, while I was disappointed by my experience at R Vida Cantina, I hope that they can address these issues and improve their service for...
Read moreWell, where do I start? I don't know what has happened to the restaurant industry but this place needs to start with a new cook, recipes and a little bit better service. The servers we very courteous, but seemed to be overwhelmed for some reason. The food on the other hand, needs help. My enchilada was half beef, half celery. I don't know when celery enchiladas became a thing, but last time I checked there weren't any celery enchiladas. The refried beans were under cooked with several hard beens or something in them that crunched and had very little flavor. The rice was about the only item that was decent, not good, just decent. My wife had a beef tamale which was a new one for me. Chicken or pork is the norm for most Mexican restaurants and this one had terrible flavoring or seasoning in the meat and a tough corn masa casing surrounding it. Mexican food isn't complicated, but I swear every time I go to a new one, they keep trying to church up the food with their own spin on it. Keep it simple and make sure it's edible. I hope they can make changes for the better sooner than later, or I'm not sure they will survive. I hate to say it, but I don't think I'll be going back...
