The true Amsterdam diner. Stopped in for breakfast after the 4th of July, luckily the crowd wasn't overwhelming. Do note that this establishment only accepts cash, or if the sign on the door is to be believed, and Apple Pay. They do have an ATM on site in case you forget this and fail to read the sign, but it does help weed out the randos who want to just waltz in. Ordered the Belgian Waffle with fruit and whipped cream, two eggs with bacon, and a decaf coffee. Took about five minutes and my meal was out. The waffle looked fantastic, lots of fresh fruit, a small round of butter, several dollops of whipped cream and my own jar of syrup. The eggs were cooked just right, not burnt even a tiny bit, and the bacon was very interesting. Unlike your regular straight bacon you may be served, it was more of a birds nest of bacon. Crispy on the outside with just a tiny bit of a chewy center, and the flavor was phenomenal. Wonderfully fatty, but not greasy. My total only came to a bit over $16, which is a pretty gosh darn good price for my meal. The service was very good, with my waitress checking in on me regularly to make sure I had everything I needed and was enjoying my meal. I sat at the bar which added an even more authentic diner feel to this cafe, though they had plenty of tables and booths open. I could absolutely see myself coming back here in the future on another day off, as their breakfast menu had plenty of other options to pick from.

What a perfect little diner. Exactly what I want from an independent small place. I ordered eggs over easy and a side of corned beef hash. The waitress immediately asked if I wanted the eggs on top of the hash. Well, of course! But nobody ever asks that and it was awesome. Hot sauce, ketchup, and jelly we're already on the table so no need to ask. Coffee was fresh and delicious and refilled often. Everything was done quickly and perfectly. I had never been here before but I will definitely be back.

Very pleasant visit. Have not been since the COVID situation, but am happy to say, it was just the same as it was before. Friendly, attentive staff, fresh brewed coffee and the food was cooked perfectly. Definitely not to be passed up, go enjoy a great meal.😉

First time eating here the other day, I heard very unprofessional things about the woman whom owns the cafĂ© and the food quality from many people of different age's ,cultures and backgrounds. I chose to give it a try and develop my own opinion. The owner was astonishingly rude to my party and I (reminiscent of the soup guy from the show “Seinfeld”) after addressing that they had forgot two main parts of my meal they asked me if I still wanted them after I’ve already paid (of course?), respectfully the food was flavorless, not made well and some items textured like reheated leftovers from the day prior the pancakes like rubber, my husbands home fries burnt to a chard shriveled to a moist crisp (not edible). Environment and staff were not welcoming to newcomers but the atmosphere was decent and clean this is definitely a senior citizen regular spot for coffees. We won’t be returning. The best spot I’ve come across since moving to this area almost 10 years ago is called “The Mrs.Johnstown diner” The owner and her family are very kind, welcoming and pleasant. The food is always spectacular lightly seasoned her food is made promptly, service is consistently amazing and the environment is very fun we all frequent there often and will continue to do so, It’s unfortunate that Europa CafĂ© was exactly what the rumors I heard had claimed. It would have been nice to have something closer to home for breakfast classics and coffee as I do love to support local businesses but not at the cost of the unwelcoming rudeness ,lack of quality in the food and service and the entitlement this owner...

Let's talk about Europa Cafe...

Having visited numerous diners across the Northeast, from bustling urban centers to quaint towns, I can confidently say that Europa Cafe stands out as the best of them all.

Europa Cafe offers an unbeatable value, with full-course meals ranging from $10-$20. Imagine a plate loaded with pancakes or French toast, bacon, eggs, sausage, toast, and hashbrowns—all made from top-quality ingredients. The food is not just abundant but exceptional in quality. Even more impressive is the service speed: from placing my order to receiving my plate takes less than 10 minutes.

The heart of Europa Cafe is its extraordinary staff, led by the incomparable Owner and Queen of Kindness, Cindy. Her warmth, kindness, and respect set the tone for the entire team. They genuinely care about their customers, remembering names, regular orders, and even personal details. This level of personal attention creates a welcoming and supportive atmosphere that is rare in the dining industry.

It's not just the staff that makes Europa Cafe special; it's the patrons too. The sense of community is palpable, with everyone knowing and respecting each other, making every visit a joy.

My only regret is that I can't eat more of their delicious food in one sitting. If you've ever passed by or had a less-than-perfect experience in the past, I urge you to give Europa Cafe another try. This diner truly deserves five stars.

Kudos to Cindy, Nicole, the cooks, and the entire team at Europa Cafe for creating such a remarkable...
