AJ's Riverside — Restaurant in City of Berlin

Great small town coffee shop owned and well run by two ladies, Angie and Jamie, since 2023. The main building, where the coffee is prepared, used to be a shoe repair shop fifty plus years ago. The original character of the room is preserved as much as possible, retaining the original wainscot paneling, hardwood floors and high tin wall covering as well as ceiling (see pictures). This adds to the character and warmth of the room.

The coffee is good. The service is friendly, prompt. There are a number of seating and work station options here. There is a small narrow children’s play area.

They are very supportive of the Berlin community, hosting events here. On the Saturday morning I visited, a lady was selling beautiful cut flowers.

I just wanted to take a minute and thank the awesome girls that work here and the hospitality that was shown to myself and my team!. We are all traveling engineers that spent a week in town doing some work. We would meet daily at AJs and never had a bad experience. Was well attended too and while yes we were spending money they always went above and beyond!! Nice meeting you all and Thank you for your hospitality. Hope to visit again on a future project!!!
