Melodyland — Restaurant in City of Cortland

Very disappointed. This place came highly recommended.was visiting with brother in law from Fl. We did not know a reservation was required. The look of displeasure was amazing. Asked whether or not we should add to a list or leave. Would it be too busy? No, we were told. We sat for 35 minutes with no acknowledgement. No water nothing. We would have been ok if they said no we are swamped and would have tried another time. 40 minutes in we left. It was about 7pm such a disappointment. Not sure we would go back. So soon as we walked in it was magical the atmosphere reminded me of home. The hostess was kind and funny. Then we were sitting there looking around my gf goes to me there are old women working in the kitchen and we both go Its like Nonnas. It's a movie on Netflix if you haven't seen it watch it then go to this place. The food was amazing I had the homemade spaghetti and meatballs my gf had the chicken parm. The portions were huge and so worth it every bite just got better and better couldn't finish it all. We definitely will go back...

You cannot go wrong with a locally-owned, authentic, "Mom & Pop" kind of Italian Restaurant like The Melodyland! Lisa and Maria are fantastic, and so is the food. You can't use a credit card there, but there is an ATM nearby if you need it. Reservations are highly recommended (don't wait until the last minute), because it is a small establishment, and very popular. Parking is also limited. But.....good eats!!
