We made a reservation for 8pm on Wednesday, September 18. The couple we dined with arrived on time but we were 10 minutes late. The kitchen closes at 9. Sometimes, when people come in late the waitstaff tries to rush them along so they can leave on time. This was not the case. Our waitress, Dannie (sorry about the spelling ) was courteous and did not rush us at all. We had to ask her for nothing as she anticipated our needs. She was absolutely awesome.
We ordered the scallops, spin art dip, escargot and French onion soup for appetizers. The scallops were quite bland however the dressing on the bed of greens was wonderful. The escargot was tender and melted in our mouths. It was phenomenal. The sauce complimented it well. The soup was wonderfully flavorful. Perfectly seasoned. The spin art dip tasted like it was made in-house and was rich and creamy with just the right texture.
For entrees we order 2 filet specials, the veal William and chicken parmigiana. The serving were a good size and allowed for a doggy bags. The filet special was supposed to come with a Demi but it was more like a gravy. My husband disliked the sauce as it overwhelmed the steak. The other person that ordered the steak special really enjoyed it. Dannie accommodated him by getting him another meal and did not charge for that meal. She did not take the second steak off the bill. We did not mention this as we were appreciative that she replaced the meal with another and technically there was nothing wrong with the steak - it just wasn’t his thing personally. The veal was excellent. Very tender and the sauce was flavorful with shrimp and lobster pieces as well as asparagus. The potatoes were very creamy. Chicken parm was great as well.
We ordered 2 slices of carrot cake and peanut butter pie to go. We enjoyed them later. Also good.
This was a wonderful experience. We will definitely come again. We will request the same waitress as she was...
Read moreWhere to start, first, by far I had one of the best steaks I have ever had, seasoned, grilled, and cooked perfectly. We went to celebrate my Mom's birthday. I drove down from Syracuse, and I had coordinated with a florist to deliver flowers at the restaurant for her. It went flawlessly, they had the flowers arranged beautifully at our table. The host, the waitress, and the whole staff could not have been friendlier, they were the true definition of what customer service should be, in fact, it was beyond customer service, it was passion. We all enjoyed our meals, we had the margherita pizza for an appetizer, it was huge and one of the best pizzas we've ever had..and it was just an appetizer! The cream chicken soup was amazing, the salad size plentiful. My mother's chicken parm was so tender and fresh, she didn't even need to cut it with a knife, it was lightly breaded, browned perfectly and the portion was large enough for a take home meal. The desert menu sounded delicious and was packed with variety, sadly, we did not have room. I believe that this little nook is truly one of CNY's best kept secrets. The setting is dark and intimate with beautiful wood finishing and wall décor, the cleanliness spotless. I have paid double in prices, and not had food of this quality. Well done Blue Moon Grill, and thank you for being a part in making our celebration special,...
Read moreI love Blue Moon Grill so much!! It holds a special place in my heart. My boyfriend and I went there one anniversary (in the beginning of our now 6 year relationship) and we loved the service, and the food -they have amazing 5 star steaks and good portions for the price! In fact we loved it so much that now it's our tradition for anniversaries and other celebratory events and we don't go anywhere else 💜 it's not a "bar" per se. I mean it has a bar but it's not like a TGI Friday's or Applebees deal, the bar is actually pretty removed from the dining area. I feel it's alot more elegant than that title. It's one of those places that your willing to drop 70$ at because the whole establishment is cute, yet stunning. I do wish they'd change the bar and grill part of it however and just call it Blue Moon. Idk I feel like I associate "bar and grill" type restaurants with loud people yelling at the sports on the TV's. The title was almost a deterrent for us at first bc we just wanted a quiet evening of couple's time, But I'm glad we took the chance!! It's definitely not loud and annoying, it's almost ambient with that lighting too. And the wait staff is so good that we left a heafty tip each...
