This place is amazingly cool and family owned so you have to understand there’s a certain level of quality in this is not a fast food type of place so you want to give them time because each meal is made with care. they’re so popular that one of my favorite radio stations had their Cinco de Mayo celebration here! I found my experience here to be incredible I got to meet the owner and his entire family and they are incredibly awesome my server Diego was on point didn’t miss a beat having to deal with over 60 people before 7 AM that dude is a champ the staff inside were incredibly friendly I had to have the breakfast burrito let me tell you they make sure that you get a breakfast lunch and dinner burrito all in one lol the portion is incredible the salsa handmade and delicious I would drink from a paint bucket if I could… Everybody else that had Carne Asada and other different Dishes and only wonderful things to say so every plate that was taken off the table it was guaranteed to be cleaned! Show up here and eat and you won’t want to leave!

My dad has his 79th birthday bash here for about 35 people. The food was excellent. We had a buffet style meal. Cheese enchiladas, chicken fajitas, and pork chili verde, chips and salsas, tea lemonade and water. The service was fantastic. We originally where to have the gathering on the patio with the heaters, but the weather changed very quickly and started drizzling so they quickly accommodated us in the bar area until the seating area inside was cleared for two large long cables for our big party. They set up the buffet area along the long counter near the kitchen as well as the drinks. My dad really enjoyed his birthday and your restaurant helped made it flow with ease even with the changes. Thank you for being a great example of hospitality.

The food here overall is mediocre. But the service and staff are great! They also have a secret menu... you just have to know the right people. My boyfriend is a fan of the menudo here which is offered on Friday's and the weekend. One of the servers recommended it with chicharrones and avocado. Which was delicious and that's the way he gets now. I've had the kids beaten and cheese burrito.... good size but what's up with the chunks of unmelted cheese. The beans weren't warm enough. But the chicken salad was good. The chicken had nice flavor and moist. I would totally prefer it again.

I have been going to this location since it opened. Ive been going to the original location on Evergreen since I was a child. Needless to say, I know their food very well. I stopped in today for the first time since the pandemic started (and because they wont allow postmates to deliver to my home which is BS because im not that far away). First warning sign was that you order at the counter instead of at the table. Fine, this is a post-covid world I can deal with that. Second issue was the menu. It is alot smaller and they have changed the names on things. No where on the menu could I find the Manuel's Special (Something ive been eating since I was a child). They did have a Pork Chile Verde Burrito which as far as I could tell was the same thing. Ordered that. Third issue, they now charge for the chips and salsa. Really? Is the business hurting that badly you are now charging for that? With a bad taste already in my mouth with the changes I sat down. First the chips came out with the salsa. They were the most stale chips ive had in years. They also clearly were not made in house, they were from a bag. They were not the same chips they used to serve. Waste of a $1.50 already. Then the burrito came out, and that was the final straw. Now it LOOKED like the burrito ive been eating since childhood but it did not TASTE the same. Something was wrong, something is off. It is not the same recipe, they have either added or removed something. Im more inclined to believe something was added but it just isnt the same. I know that burrito better than most foods. Hell I had one from the Evergreen location just last month so I have a reasonable recent pallet to compare it to. It is NOT THE SAME. I took a few bites, asked for a box and left. What a major disappointment. I feel almost betrayed, as if someone took one of my favorite spots and ruined it. This is the spot id bring anyone new to LA to experience, but sadly at least this location seems to be a lost cause. Thankfully the Evergreen location still seems to serve the food I love and remember so I will just go there instead. Also, the lady taking orders clearly is not happy to be working there and it shows. Man, what a expensive disappointment today...

If I could give"0" STARS I would.. I have been going to El Tepeyac with my family since I was a little girl.. The Original in East Los Angeles. When the build the one off of Crossroads in The City of Industry we were all Happy because it was closer. But when the Families started battling over the Restaurants things went down hill at the City of Industry location. I started noticing little things, today me and Family went a party of 7 and I ordered the Hollenbeck Special which is Half of The Manuals Special...when the brought it to the table I had to get up and ask what this was??? The waitress said yes thes indeed what they call the Hollenbeck. I threw the burrito on the counter and told them to refund my Mom's money and I walked out told my family I was leaving! The burrito was $15+tax .. I am better off getting one from the taco truck.. It was very skimpy for the money we Pay. We spent well over $150. And they charge$1.50 for chips and salsa the waitress herself said its just a little tiny bowl and there is NO refills.. Why when customers are paying money that should be included. I can't stand when Companies get so Greedy the have to do stuff like that!! We all took a loss threw the pandemic. I will never support the City of Industry location again. Come on People drive the extra miles to the East-Los location the experience is so Much Better. Tepeyac in the City of...

I always come here for the delicious Manuel Special....but the service was horrible. I understand for holidays like St. Patricks day it would be busy. My group went ahead and reserved a table, they said there are 2 people ahead of you. There was no standing room to wait inside, so we waited outside. Five mins passed by and from the putside I see a tanle that's empty. I went inside to see and this old man was yelling something. It was loud inside, u can barely here over the live music. He asks for the group name, I tell him. He goes to the register mad saying I've been calling you. Your table is over there and waves us away. We sit at the table. A few minutes later tge waiter comes and says did you just sit here or did someone tell you to. It just rubbed me the wrong way. We get our drinks and we were there for about 15 mins and they never brought chips and salsa. We had to ask for them. The service took long to get refills on drinks and chips. I noticed a large group was getting ready to leave, and here comes that old man tellingbone of them they have to leave because they need the table. The customer was sitting there and the old man pulls the table away frim him. Then someone from his group says, you're trying to kick us out and the old man walks away mumbling. This old man shouldnt be working there. He made the whole...
