During Ramadan of 2022 (ending April 30th) the restaurant is closed for remodeling, but take out is offered every day but Wednesday. After May 1st, there will be a new restaurant space in the back, behind the grocery, and Wednesdays will still be chef's day off. This Lackawana grocery is a jewel: It offers canned and dried beans, fresh spices at very low prices, milk, rice, and frozen vegetables. Because it's Ramadan, there's an entire aisle of dates. There's another aisle just for nuts and other dried fruits. I bought lots of the nougat/nut/dried fruit candy for $6.99/lb. So pretty! The men working there were friendly and helpful, and the TV was livestreaming the pilgrims circling the black rock in Mecca. I look forward to returning to try their lamb chops, or their mixed...

My friend and I stopped in because we were visiting the Botanical Gardens and Our Lady of Victory Basilica nearby. We were hungry, but didn't want fast food or risk going to some sit down restaurant and waitng forever. We couldn't have made a better choice! We bought some meat, paneer and zatar pies and sodas. They warmed them up for us and we FEASTED! Delicious - in fact, after our visits to the Gardens and the Basilica, we CAME BACK and bought many more to take home. Along with the food, they have a grocery store full of interesting, tasty things. Additionally, there is a whole separate section devoted to wonderful Middle Eastern clothing and perfumes! Awesome - didn't want to leave, but keep...

Had what might be the best meal of my life here! We stopped in by chance on a Sunday for lunch, and owner Fami pulled out all the stops for our little group. Despite having just recovered from a 600 person wedding the night before, he made us feel like rockstars and even brought extra dishes for us to try! Every dish was more delicious than the last - fresh hummus, light, pillowy bread, tender lamb, aromatic saltah and chai tea that hit the spot. Fami generously gave us some education on the rich cultural background of each dish while we dined. The service was incredible, and we made sure to grab groceries from the shop on the way out. This place is...

Dined in for the first time. Ordering at the back counter was easy and the service was great. While waiting for our food, we browsed the store. Had a little bit of everything from teas and snacks to bulk spices. A cold case in the back had frozen/refrigerated meats, dairy, and drinks. I got a barley water to go with dinner, which was delicious. We ate in the back area that is used for events, so it wasn't a traditional restaurant setting, but it was nice and clean. Will be coming back to try the lamb and dessert!

Had an absolutely incredible meal here - delicious feast shared with friends and the owner is so generous and welcoming! Had the lamb haneeth, fahsah, saltah, foul, ghallaba, flat bread, salad, tea, hummus- everything was incredible especially the saltah and lamb and sauces and tea! It’s Counter service in the back of the grocery store, and seating in the back room. Bring cash for a tip! They also do big celebrations, and great selections in the store too- don’t miss it!
