Danny Sheehan's Steak House — Restaurant in City of Lockport

Having heard great things about this restaurant I was intrigued when my husband accidentally spilled the beans as to where our surprise dinner location was on the phone with his nursing home bound mom. If you're looking for new or stylish ambience don't bother looking at this place, but what it lacks in that way it shines spectacularly in food and service. I grew up cutting up my Saturday steak into pieces and smashing it into my mashed potatoes and gravy. That's just how I liked it. Being lactose sensitive I couldn't have the mashed potatoes because they were made with cream so I ordered a baked potato. Oh my gosh the steak was soooooo delicious I didn't even miss my mashed potatoes & steak mashup. Fresh green beans, I ordered just what I wanted and not what I didn't and the server (Cole) never told me it might be more money or said I couldn't and was so attentive. The place was hopping with servers and as full as it could be with Cuomo's orders. Cuomo was there by the way, peeking into their front window. My husband had an Irish stout and really liked it, never heard of it. His dinner was excellent too. We had dessert and it was presented with 6-8 delectable looking pies, making a choice rather difficult. Both the Dutch apple tart and my Snickers pie were excellent. Just got done eating a 16oz prime rib with mashed potatoes and gravy, garlic toast, and a salad. Amazing is an understatement. I ordered take out, so I was expecting it to be slightly under amazing, I figured it'd be good , but not nearly as good as if we were to eat in the restaurant. I was so wrong. It was so satisfying. We spent just over 60 dollars and got two 16oz prime ribs and the sides and a French onion soup. I will most likely be ordering from here again tomorrow. I'll try the steak and lobster. Anyway, this place is awesome and I really recommend it, especially the take out. Oh and the staff was on point, so polite. I really appreciated how the lady that took my order didn't sound like she had 15 other things going on and was not rushing my order. I didn't have anxiety ordering from her, unlike some other places...

I have not been there as yet, so my review is based on the pictures as well as the less than perfect 5 star rating of wish I trust more than the 5 star ratings most cases those are written by the staff to boost ratings. The dining area looks tacky and cafeteria looking, the prices are not fair at all way over priced doesn't matter what the food is. Lockport as it is is not known for a fine dining experience anyway. Probably the only time that the prices might be close to reasonable is during Restaurant week. There was also many mentions of the staff not being all that pleasant as well saw a review someone said that the manager did not care to hear the opinion of a customer just took their money and sent them on their way. So as only as expensive as it is I will never being trying...
