The only reason I give it 5 STAR b/c of The food is so amazing that I come all the way from Brooklyn at least couple days out the month!!!! As for the the staff some are unfriendly n bad attitude but that don’t stop me from coming back…KUDOS to the CHEF🙌🏽

The food is pretty tasty. However, there is an older woman there who looks very angry. She barely speaks and seems to be the stingiest with the food. If you ask a question, she answers aggressively. I hope the owner recognizes that no matter how good a product is, if the customer service sucks, people can happily take their monies elsewhere. Moreover, there are at least 2 other Jamaican restaurants on that strip. Richie Richie being just adjacent. Please train this lady to interact with customers better. The best Jamaica restaurant in New York hands down. The food is amazing, the portions are huge and the customer service is great. Most Jamaican restaurants don’t have good service but Oracabessa Fish and Things do. I come from over the Tappan Zee Bridge and pay toll to come to this place because I know I get my money’s worth and I won’t be disappointed. I get so excited every time we get a chance to visit Oracabessa. This is my favorite go to spot for delicious, authentic, home style Jamaican food, that always hits the spot. Regardless the time of day, Breakfast, lunch, or dinner, they gotcha! The food tastes like someone has poured love and magic into every bite and the portion sizes are Nice! While I have my faves, I totally recommend you try everything and see for yourself.
