Hyde Park Café — Restaurant in City of Niagara Falls

RUDE AF manager or owner. I am writing my first ever negative review because of how awful the manager or owner just treated me lol

Ordered a large chicken finger sub from door dash and laughed when I looked at how little soggy tiny pieces of chicken was on it and how soggy it was. It was ALL bread. We have ordered breakfast from them religiously every sat and Sunday morning for months until now because our sons like their waffles but I wouldnt order there again if my life depended on it. When I called to complain the little girl who usually takes the orders on the phone was the only friendly one who offered to remake my sub but I got in a car accident so I had ordered door dash so that wasn't an option. I told her I would send a picture or they could send a driver (weekends and randomly they have a delivery driver) and come pick it up, I just wanted a credit towards my next order. So she gave me a manager who told me they cut up 2 chicken fingers for an entire sub, that's the length of a subway sub so about a footlong. And said he didn't know what to tell me and would not credit or refund me and said "do you wanna talk to Ty?" And handed the phone off to whoever that is who definitely let me know how annoyed he was to have to listen to me then he laughed that I wasn't happy about my food and sarcastically said "well what do u want me to do change the brand of chicken? Because we arent going to help you or remake anything" so I had a few choice words and hung up.

Rude as hellll. Funny the only nice, professional one is the youngest, probably least paid employee. I hope they don't treat her how they treated me.

Coming from South Florida, a little birdie at my hotel, pointed me in the direction of the swanky little establishment. I am forever grateful for Ashlee (Starbucks in Sheraton). She told me she was friends with the owner, so I couldn't deny the vibes.

My father and I arrived shortly after opening and was greeted by Fredricka. She had great energy and a real passion for the business. She served us the most delctable meal we had had our entire stay in NF. The chicken and waffles we're fried perfectly, tender, and fluffy. My meal-- a little less enthusiastic (I'm simple when. it comes to bfast), had a meal that had french toast that was crispy yet perfectly moist on the inside, seasoned from the heavens.

The place began to fill with patrons, and their energy synched with the mellow r&b music, which ultimately resulted a great time. We started to wrap things up, and I told Fredricka how I had gotten there, and she told me sh was the owner! This is why you build good rapport with new people, the entire experience...

The food here is absolutely amazing and very reasonably priced. I saw some comments that the service was slow. My take is perfection takes time! We were quick to have our drink and breakfast orders taken. It was obvious that there were 4 or 5 other tables who were waiting for their food to arrive when we sat down. Over the course of maybe 15 to 20 minutes, each table was served their meals, as were at least 6 take out orders. Then our order arrived and at the risk of repeating myself...it was absolutely amazing! I wish we lived in the area, because I would eat breakfast here regularly if I could. The potatoes were better than I make, and I make really good home fries. I would go back just for them, but the rest of the order was equally impressive. Don't be in a hurry. Perfection takes time.
