Fish is great and fresh. Food is good, service is great. Please support your local Japanese restaurant to preserve the diversity of cuisine available in this rural area. Japanese restaurants in America are typically high-end. This location and building are pedestrian, with CMU exterior and relatively low drop ceilings. I feel that if this restaurant were on Union in Olean, with soaring ceilings and high-end interior ambiance, like Brothers’ Bistro or The Old Library, that it might be a more cachet destination.

We love this place and visit regularly with our two-year-old. Not only is the sushi always fresh and delicious, but the servers are always so kind and patient with us & our daughter- who is admittedly still working on her restaurant manners and can make a big mess sometimes. They have even gone out of their way to bring us our meal on the sushi boat just to see the smile on her face. We’re so lucky to have this place in Olean!

This is kind of disturbing, these packages of food have been there on the floor since we got here, does anyone know the number to the health department? I hope no one gets the spoiled beef teriyaki anytime soon! If u do and get sick, here is why! Service sucks!we have been here for 2 hours for 3 simple lunch specials! And the manager demands a tip! This place is ridiculous!

I love this place. I used to travel a lot for work, have been to many large cities, and have eaten at many Japanese hibachi's. This one stacks right up there with many in much larger areas. Pros: I'll call him the main host, Henry, is courteous, and funny. The food has mostly been cooked near perfect and to my liking. I have found that when cooked on the hibachi it seems to be slightly better then coming out of the kitchen. The place is clean and although I like it, my wife says it's a bit too cold (temperature) in there, but only when sitting at the tables rather than around the hibachi. Many of their sushi rolls are simply awesome and we enjoy trying new flavors. If you've never had one, you're thinking about trying one, but are on the fence...I recommend the Superman roll. It's very tame, great for a person skeptical about sushi, and very tasty. Cons: It's fairly pricey to eat here. What I would call a full course dinner for two will probably run you around $100. We do enjoy a Sapporo and Sake while there which, of course, adds to the tab. Lastly, I've never left there feeling guilty about what I...

Mmmm! Hibachi! Giant flames, knife tricks, and an onion volcano! What's not to like? The food here was excellent! I had the Filet Mignon hibachi meal and it was delicious and plentiful. The steak was cooked perfectly (I asked for medium rare) and was very tender. The rice and vegetables were also cooked to perfection. Sometimes, these items can get overcooked at hibachi grills in my experience.

Our chef didn't put on as much of a show as other hibachi places, but honestly, I'm okay with that. I go for the food, not necessarily the show. Our chef was humorous and courteous. If I had to be picky, I felt our server could have been a bit more pleasant, but he wasn't rude. Just not overly welcoming. Like I said, that's being picky.

The prices I felt were inline with other hibachi restaurants I've visited. My filet meal was $23 (for a bunch of steak, rice and veggies) which I thought was pretty darn good. The restaurant was small, so I image it could get very busy. However at 530PM on a Wed evening, there was only 10 people there. I would absolutely visit this place again for some...

This place is so shady, DO NOT GO THERE ! I went there last night with a group of 11 people, we all ordered the combo dinner and had the grill. I didn't know if they would refill the soup or not so I asked the waiter politely. The owner heard it and he immediately yelled "No". I found that was rude. What I found the most shady was when he run the bill for us, he automatically added 18% tips, then after we swipe our cards on the new receipt it had another line by the bottom asking for gratuity again. So please be very careful, if you don't pay attention not only you have to pay for a tip that the owner forces you to pay, then you may end up paying additional tips again ! Then even before we finished eating, he kept saying we should leave soon because he had to go to Buffalo, and he asked all of us to leave from the back door so he could lock the front one. Overall, I did not like this place at all. Please consider twice before you coming to this...
