I recently had the pleasure of dining at Machine Shed Restaurant in Pewaukee and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting. The rustic decor and friendly staff immediately made us feel at home.

As a family, we often go out to dinner and we are always on the lookout for new places to try. Machine Shed did not disappoint. We were greeted with smiles and promptly seated at a cozy booth. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. She even gave us some great recommendations for our meal.

Now, let's talk about the food. The potato soup and different breads were to die for! The soup was creamy and full of flavor, and the breads were fresh and delicious. We couldn't get enough of them! And to top it off, we decided to try the fish fry on a Friday and we were not disappointed. The fish was perfectly cooked and the portion size was generous.

But the best part of our experience at Machine Shed was when we found out about the fishing club that meets once a month. As a family who loves to fish, this was the cherry on top of an already amazing meal. We are definitely going to be frequenting this restaurant even more now.

Overall, I highly recommend Machine Shed Restaurant in Pewaukee. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is cozy, and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Whether you're looking for a family dinner or a night out with friends, this restaurant has something for everyone. Trust me, you won't be...

Not impressed with how they run things.

Drove out there this morning to have the breakfast buffet. 7 adults 2 kids. About 10 mins before arriving my husband called to see what the wait time was and give them a heads up that 9 of us were coming. They said rhe wait was 15 mins, if that. My husband very clearly told them there were 9 of us. Even saying that there were 7 adults and 2 kids. They said 15 min wait. Great!

We get there, my aunt comes out and said that they told her it's a 45 min wait. I said no, they just told us 15mins. So my husband went in and was very respectful and said, I just called and asked how long the wait was for a table of 9, 7 adults 2 kids. You told me 15 mins. The girl that he spike to on the phone was the same one he was speaking to at the counter. She said... well when I said 15 mins I didn't know it was 9 people. My husband laughed a little and said, yes you did I specifically said 9 people, 7 adults 2 kids and you repeated it to me. They weren't accommodating, didn't stand by their word, and told us basically ih well we had to wait 45 mins.

Unprofessional. Maybe have people that listen, comprehend, and don't turn around and blatantly lie, answer your phones and serve guests up front. We won't come back.

We patronized thunder bay grille. We know it's the same ownership, but the got us right in and treated our group...

I usually love this place. Never been to this location though. Service was very under par. Took about 15 to 20 minutes after we were seated for our waitress to take our order. So we ordered drinks and food at the same time because it took so long. After that took about 25 minutes for her to bring us our drinks. It was like she was waiting for our appetizer to be done to bring our drinks. By which time our meals we ordered were done and didn't have time for appetizers because we didn't want our food to get cold. Sweet potato was very small shriveled up and over cooked. Butter was frozen. Other then those two things food was good. Just very poor service from this young lady. Maybe was just having a off day but her personality kind of fit the bill of she just didn't give a rats behind. Never came to check on us. Had to stop her so I could get more water. I should note it was not busy what so ever. Otherwise I would understand.

There was a man there I believe named Brian that was running around to a bunch of tables. Wish he was out waiter. Looked like he was doing an amazing job.

Always know this place to give great Midwestern service and friendly atmosphere. Been going to the iowa location since I was very young. This location needs to have a talk with staff of what is expected of the brand name. We will not be returning to...

Stopped in for dinner around 7pm. Took a minute to be seated and hostess did not wait for us to catch up to her, she was literally clear across the restaurant as we were just entering the dining room, clearly she was in a hurry lol!!! They were pretty busy with a couple of larger groups. Our server came over right away was extremely friendly and quick. We had a bowl of French onion soup, it was very good, needed a tad bit of salt-surprisingly for a normally salty soup, but that is totally a preference thing! I had the fried chicken dinner it was amazing. Husband had the sirloin tips also excellent. The tips were served over a sage stuffing and covered in a very rich white gravy, delicious! Dinners were served with a bread basket which had one dinner roll cut in half and 2 bite size pieces of sweet bread, a bowl of family style coleslaw, a bowl of sweet apples served family style and a bowl of grilled veggies served family style, all refillable upon request. Our bill was $50 for 2 dinners, 2 sodas and a bowl of soup, so not too bad for all of the food we received! They do close at 8 on Thursdays though, so they were a bit rushed on getting everyone out of there, which I totally understand, we just didn’t know they closed so early on Thursdays! We will definitely be back!

Was on my way from Milwaukee to Madison when we decided to stop here. The experience entering into the resteraunt was stressful. There was no staff at the counter & no signs on where to go so me and my boyfriend were walking around trying to figure out if we needed to seat ourselves as we weren’t familiar with the restaurant. There was people also waiting before us who ended up leaving after a few minutes. We waited about 8 minutes before a guy came from the back to the counter and grabbed our menus. No apology or explanation for the wait. Bad first impression. Thankfully, we got paired with a good waitress. The waitress we had was very attentive, gave us refills and asked if we were enjoying our food. You can definitely tell she’s worked in food service for a while and she knew what she was doing. The food was good, large enough portions to where we didn’t order dessert. There was enough social distancing to where I felt comfortable dining in. Overall, it was an average experience. It’s a cute tourist trap if you’re traveling, especially with kids but I wouldn’t stop there often if I was closer to the area.

So be warned, prices are higher here than your average place. BUT the food was so good. Pictured are the two appetizers, the barbecue potato skins and the haystack onions. The potato skins were ok, but admittedly that’s just never been my jam, to each their own. My husband enjoyed them though. We both LOVED the haystack…so crunchy and just exactly what they should be. Also pictured is the hand breaded chicken sandwich and for an extra $1 I substituted for sweet potato fries. They sprinkle a little sugar over them which was different. But the sandwich was pretty good…had a nice crispy layer to the chicken and was delicious. Not pictured was the brisket dinner my husband got and he said it was tasty! I’d probably eat here more if I lived closer and the prices were a bit lower, but I can say that we’ll definitely be back bc at least you get REALLY tasty food for the price!
