First time visitor from Texas and I wasn’t blown away. I had the Cheese Curds as an appetizer and they were good but portion size was a bit disappointing. They were only 5.95 so I guess I shouldn’t expect a lot. The Point Burger with home made chips was my entree choice. My opinion for the burger and chips was the same, better than average with great potential. The bun was toasted very well however it was obviously prepared much earlier and the bread was stale, hard, and cold. The meat patty was cooked and seasoned perfectly so the flavor of the over all burger earned this visit a couple stars. Chips, exact same remark, fried well, a tad greasy but cold and prepared much earlier. They don’t serve Diet Coke and Diet Pepsi is terrible so I was forced to try the Diet Root Beer and It was very good, would have ordered more but it’s bottled and a shocking 3.45 per bottle. WOW. So water it was, which I hate. Lastly, service was horrible. The restaurant was mostly empty right at 5 so I was seated immediately. I sat alone in my booth for almost 25 min when the waiter passed by and told me sorry he didn’t see me sitting there. He took my order, brought cheese curds fairly quick but no silverware or napkins. He finally returned with the burger thirty minutes later and I asked for napkins and water. He returned 20 min later with water for the next table, asked again for napkins and water and he said ok…came back right away with water…no napkins. I finished the burger with no napkins but he was really quick with the bill, took my card and never came back. I caught him 20 min later and asked for my card he said “ Woops got caught up” not even sorry. I left @ 640 after a 5 pm arrival. Not sure I will come back, this place has lots of potential but needs some work.

Appreciated how hard the waitstaff was hustling and super friendly to get everyone served, our server was so warm and friendly, wish I recalled her name. It’s clear they are understaffed so had extra patience and empathy for that. Food was good. My biggest concern is that the staff wasn’t working as a team it seemed; and they didn’t set their wait staff up for success. What I mean by this is they sat big parties without silverware, napkins, side plates etc. leaving everything to the server who had multiple big parties. So throughout our meal despite even getting up to ask the 3 people at the host stand who weren’t busy at that point for napkins or silverware and refills we ate our meals without napkins, or any silverware. (I couldn’t find a side station where I could even self serve us). I just think when you’re in a Saturday rush like that, set yourselves up better, have the hosts roll silverware and seat people w them. Have them help w refills and stuff at the height of dinner. Or management should be making rounds and helping. You shouldn’t force a party of 8 with children to eat their entire meal without napkins or forks at a full service restaurant…. And share an appetizer without anything either. I left a full 20% tip because it wasn’t the waitresses fault but how frustrating to see the hosts go back to their duties after asking for silverware and napkins and we still didn’t get them until everyone was basically done eating.

Great food and good beer selection, interesting looking game area. There is a large bar area when you walk in with plenty of TVs as well as a ding room area with TVs and a large side room that looks as if could be rented for large parties. I went there last night and had a beer and burger, I had the point burger and it was pretty good. The one thing that I have to say is that they nickel and dime over every little topping at this place so take a look at the specialty burger section because you might save a buck or two getting a pre built combination. They have a pretty extensive beer selection but it's mostly (shocker, I know) Steven's point beers, which aren't the greatest craft beers that money can buy. I took a look at their game area and it's pretty cool, kind of like a half or quarter of the size of a dave and busters. They also attached the game room to the go kart track, which has been in the building since soon after American left. All of this is pretty cool if you wanted to have a bachelor party or something. Overall it's a cool place but definately a premium price because of the entertainment that they offer.

never been here. didn't know what to expect...

first, I think the whole vibe of this place is off. Sports bar with small brewery slant. Generic dining area that reminds me of a cafeteria complete with kids running around. Bathrooms where those kids are allowed to run amok. Gameroom that is definitely for kids.

now to be fair, I had heard of this place by name only. I didn't realize they had a game room. when I checked out before stopping, I didn't realize the game room was geared towards kids -this is part of the vibe being off - from the name, craft beer emphasis and the sports bar, I was expecting a more adult themed game room.

So, for a place to bring your kids this seems like a good place.

but we didn't bring kids and we're not expecting this type of atmosphere. it is more like a chuck e cheese than a Dave and busters, if that makes sense.

now for the specifics....

the good was just ok. My burger was not bad, but wasn't all that good. For a place with burger in the name, and a place that seemingly prides itself in burgers.... well, I would expect them to be much better.

other meals in our group: wings. I tried these, again, they were just ok.

Nachos. could have been much warmer. would not get them again.

A friend got another app, I am not sure what it was, it was pretty good (great review... "some random appetizer was pretty good).

Another friend got another burger, said it was just ok. Another got the Reuben sandwich, and another " just ok, but I wouldn't get this again".

On to the beer. it was good. Large selection.

On to the ice cream drinks. two of us got alcoholic ice cream drinks. both of them said they were not very good, way too sweet they both said. I tried a sip of each. I would have thought them saying they were both too sweet wasn't going to be accurate. but it was very accurate. Although, I am not sure if too sweet would be 100% accurate. they were both very heavily flavored. so much so, that they didn't taste very good. neither friend finished their ice cream drinks. I love ice cream drinks, and I was glad I didn't order one here, and would never order one here if I somehow ended up here again.

it wasn't very busy, there was quite a few servers. but I thought the service was again... just ok. I finished my beer at the very beginning of my meal, I literally took one bite and then took my final sip, and did not get a visit to order until I was eating the very last bite.

Over all, I was not impressed. I don't think I would give this place a 2nd chance.

If you have kids it might be fun and be the place for you. If I were coming back, I would sit in the bar and watch whatever sport is on and that may help the experience. Like I said, there is mixed vibes as to what this place is and wants to be....

I felt like it is a place for Dad's to watch football inside of a department store while the wife...

Celena and her staff were so very patient with us as we made decisions on what to offer our guests for our wedding rehearsal dinner. Celena helped guide us through the variety of choices Point Burger Bar offered and helped us keep it all within our budget while we were able to prepay towards our balance by buying gift cards. Seriously what a budget saver!

This budget saving resulted in no cut corners by Celena and her team. The Barrel Room we reserved was beautifully decorated by Celena and her team with the up most attention to detail. I didn’t give Celena any direction. I just told her to make it look nice as I was under a lot of wedding stress and honestly was at that brides moment of I don’t care anymore. I was able to drop off my Desserts and wedding party gifts to the Restaurant earlier that day with coordination with Celena ( HUGE PLANNING HELP) and when I showed up later for our Rehearsal Dinner Celena had made the whole place look magical. I was able to sit down, everything was handled, and it was so great to enjoy good company and all the planning we had accomplished.

All the guest loved the food and even though we had one dietary need for an additional chicken Celena and her team were quick to help out and get our guest taken care of. Seriously couldn’t have asked for a more flawless execution by the Entire Point Burger Team.

Even after Dinner had ended we were able to celebrate out on the patio watching guests enjoy Velocee Racetrack and then continue to drink and play aracade games well into the evening. Thus resulting in this Bride having a little to much fun. 😊 But well worth the memories and cool trinkets we won.

We cannot say THANK YOU enough to Celena and team for all their help in making our Wedding Rehearsal one for the memory books and such a great time had by all! Would definitely recommend considering Point Burger Bar as a Wedding Rehearsal option not to...

Truly disappointing. My wife wanted to come here for her birthday so we made reservations for a group of six. She has special dietary restrictions - due to our 9 month old son - and was upfront about this from the very beginning. The staff had said they would work with her on that.

When we arrived, my wife made sure to reiterate her dietary restrictions. They assured her that these would be addressed. She ordered a 'Build Your Own Burger' being sure to follow the guidelines provided by the staff. When it came to the food being delivered, she noticed right away that the order had been screwed up which compromised her burger. The server took that away and had that addressed. When she same back, the order was once again screwed up. As she got to sit and watch the table eat - at the place she wanted to go so badly - we finally got our servers attention and pointed out the concern. She took the burger back and someone else came out about 5 minutes later and plopped a plate in front of her and said 'Let's try this one.' Classy.

Overall, the experience left much to be desired. Not that she was expecting a full-blown sob-story apology but she received nothing. As a matter of fact, nothing was done to accommodate for the pathetic service.

My wife and I have experience working in the food industry through our 20's. We are aware that this is not just one person's fault. We understand miscommunication and misunderstanding. What we don't understand is the lack of an acknowledgement of any kind to say 'sorry for the inconvenience.'

My wife and I have no intention of going back to Point Burger Bar in Waukesha and would suggest to anyone with an allergy or intolerance or any food kind to take extra precaution. It's sad because the expectations were so high for an experience that could have been better served elsewhere. Quite frankly, if I could go below 1...
