Ian's Neighborhood Hots — Restaurant in City of Rochester

I've been hearing a lot of good things about Ian's Neighborhood Hots and tonight I finally got the chance to stop in. The first thing I noticed was how bright and clean it was. It has an open kitchen and I can tell they're was a lot of time and effort put into the set up and organization. I was greeted by a friendly young lady right away who was patient while I took a few minutes to look over the menu., which offered so many Rochester staples it was difficult to choose! I went with a traditional plate- cheeseburger, mac & home fries, with everything. My daughter chose the grilled cheese plate with mac & home fries as well as a side of fried oreos. While there was a crowd of patrons outside, we waited less than ten minutes before we were handed our orders. Oh and I forgot to mention— Ian's Neighborhood Hots has to have some of the lowest prices in Rochester! Everything on the menu including the plates and pizzas are affordable and you're getting and the way the food smelled so good before we even got home to try it, I just knew it was going to be good! Most people want to jump to the meat hot but I feel like a lot of local places really miss the mark on their mac salad but this was on point! The home fries were nice and crispy, the cheeseburgers perfectly cooked, and to top it all off, the delicious meat hot. There's a lot of debate on who's sauce is boss in this city, but I'll say this— Ian's meat hot sauce takes me back. Picked up 50 wings for a birthday party. FANTASTIC price for the size and quality. Ian and the team made sure we had enough celery and blue cheese (seriously seemed like so much more than most other places give with a 50pc order of wings.) I had a 13 minute drive to the destination and was hoping they wouldn’t need a reheat or re-crisp. As I was assured they arrived warm and crispy still, even the sauced ones held some crunch! One often overlooked factor is the to-go containers, they use the cardboard/paper ones so there isn’t as much condensation built up in travel.

Went through the gauntlet of flavors we selected and gotta say, the Ian’s awesome sauce has something great that I can’t figure out, like a Carolina gold with some heat that stays and something special, another hit with our party was the garlic honey, that one disappeared quickly! What a great little place to get some grub! The staff, especially Ian, is extremely friendly!! And the food is worth going back for. We had a pizza and wings, the pizza crust was 5/5, the sauce was 4/5 the toppings were spot on! The wings were large and meaty and cooked perfectly. Then we tried their garbage plates, meat hot could be a smidge spicier but very good and Mac salad could be a little less bland but was still good. Good enough to order again!
