I am changing my review from 5 stars to 1 star.
I initially had a good experience and left a 5 star review afterwards and tried them a few more times. The original person I dealt with was great (did not get his name) but since then have not had a great experience. I've been purchasing football card boxes here - usual price is around $50 (can be purchased online for around $35-$40). I went in last week and was charged $77 for the same box. I was in a rush and really wasn't paying attention until I got home and realized. Checked pricing to see if anything changed and they are still selling for around $40.
Probably not a good business model to price gouge customers that are giving you repeat business. Just a warning if you check this place out be aware of their "opportunistic"...
Read moreI'm not sure if it's a good or bad thing to have such an awesome card shop like this so close to my house. After being away from the hobby for over 30 years, I returned to see that most of the shops I grew to love are gone or aren't nearly what they used to be. Game On has a great selection of cards and is one of the few (if not only) shops that has modern and vintage singles and is willing to do trades with you. John is a great guy and runs a very clean and organized shop. It's always a pleasure to stop in and see what's new or to pick up the supplies that I need. Read moreI just sold my collection to John. Mostly Chicago stuff, as that is where I am from. Cubs , Bears, White Sox Bulls and some Black Hawks. It was emotional yo let it all go after over 50 years of collecting, but John made me comfortable and I believe he will be finding good homes for everything. He is reputable and straight forward.
