A must visit experience taking you through the heart of Rochester and into the soul of Jamaica.
This establishment is staffed by kind and passionate people serving an array of absolutely fantastic Jamaican style cooking.
I personally enjoyed the jerk chicken, rice and beans, cabbage, and corn bread. :) each delivering their own unique blend of flavors, textures, and seasonings.
The jerk chicken had an amazingly well charred finish - moist, fall off the bone, meat and flavorful bone marrow.
The cabbage, I believe, is steamed and salted. Maybe an oil of some kind. Subtle and delicious, letting the delicacy of the cabbage tease the senses as well as helping to cleanse the palate between bites.
The beans and rice might be listed as a “side” item, but make no mistake - these could be your main meal. ;)
Cake with less bounce. A, good, firm. She sits, unassuming in the back corner of your to-go box, and smiles.
Oh and the sauce. :) “jerk sauce”, I believe. Oh my goodness. :)
The patrons and staff were kind. Equipped with bright smiles, they took the time to answer my questions about the menu and the venue. They offered suggestions and directed me to appropriate areas. It was an experience as warm as the food served to me.

Read moreI recently hired Pop Style International for our family reunion, and they absolutely exceeded expectations! From the initial planning stages to the day of the event, Chef Kirk was incredibly professional and helpful. He guided through the menu options with ease. The food itself was a true highlight - every dish was bursting with authentic Jamaican flavor. The jerk chicken was perfectly spiced with just the right amount of heat and smokiness, and the oxtail was so tender it fell right off the bone. The rice and peas and cabbage were all equally delicious and complemented the main dishes perfectly. Our guests couldn't stop raving about how amazing everything tasted! I highly recommend Pop Style International for any event, big or small. They deliver delicious food and excellent service, making your event...
Read moreThe jerk chicken is the best they got but for some reason they don’t never make enough they open around 10:3011 AM by 130. They’re sold out of all the jerk chicken already but you can hear the guy back. They’re still chopping the chicken so they still have some, but they’re giving it to phone orders. There’s no reason why chicken should run out to not even 2 to 3 hours of them being open. So I had to substitute for curry chicken that had no type of salt or pepper on it and a $28 plate of oxtails that Look like the same amount of oxtails they gave the person prior to me in a small so from now on I’ll pre-order my jerk chicken if they don’t have the jerk I will not buy...
