This Is It — Restaurant in City of Rochester

I gave it a 3 because the food is good it really is but they are very expensive. I went there this past Sunday (not knowing it was soul food Sunday) & I ordered a small jerk chicken with collard greens & Mac and cheese. I payed $13.50 for a SMALL. The opened my plate for me and that's all I had. Now maybe EVERY OTHER restaurant has spoiled me or I'm just asking for too much but there was no rice ! Anywhere else I've eaten (soul food , Jamaican food , Spanish food , Chinese food...etc) always comes with rice but apearntly when you order a small there it comes with two sides which ever you decide but rice is a paid side there now and days ... It's very disappointing because there's another Jamaican spot a couple doors down that food is really good too & way cheaper... I probably won't eat here again with my own money because I feel they're being just plain greedy ! They were very nonchalant about it like "if you don't buy it , someone else will" as if they didn't care about losing a customer. Well, I'm definitely disappointed. I ordered and paided for a medium pot roast dinner with 2 sides, mac n cheese and collard greens. This food is NOT GOOD at all. I spent $19.98 on a dinner that i spit out from the first fork full of mac n cheese that I tasted and even the greens had a funny taste to them. This is BAD! I was given a side of yellow rice and that two was a disappointment. The pot roast was thick pieces which were really TUFF, I would need to put it back in a pot and slow cook it until its tender, I tried calling though none picked up the phone. I will be returning this food and I'll need my refund . NEVER...

Sunday is Soul Food Day. Now the soul food was pretty tasty. Yams, Mac & Cheese, and Greens were all good as the sides. We had BBQ Chicken and Ox Tails. The Ox Tails were fork tender and delicious.

As others have said it was kind of expensive. $38 for 1 small and 1 takeout dinners.

If I had looked up Soul Food Restaurants and got this, I would have given more stars. I was a little disappointed after researching Jamaican food and then not getting it.
