RANCHI CUSTOMER SERVICE!!
WARNING: THE CHOICE OF LANGUAGE USED MAY BE SUFFICIENTLY DIFFICULT TO UNDERSTAND FOR THE NORM, FOR THOSE WHO COMPREHEND, FOLLOW ME ON THIS. AS YOU MAY TELL ALREADY THIS STORY IS NOT SHORT SO PACE YOUR TIME AND READ SLOWLY. Salvatores has well established recipes to the delight of all with the choice of to each is own on their broad selections of their menu. We all can agree, their food is not what comes to bad reviews, yes? What brings about bad reviews for this specific location???! CUSTOMER SERVICE!! MORE OR LESS, THE FRONT COUNTER! Now who I am addressing are two specific young ladies whom one very blatant, is new and had no clue how to conduct a sale more or less maneuver through the register to get a final cost. The other may have been a higher up scale position, I say that in the matter of how quickly she resolved the issue and knew exactly what to do under the impression of what her COWORKER told her, NOT MYSELF, THE CUSTOMER! So I asked for a simple slice of pizza, and to warm it up, as well as cut it in half, cool? Yes, of course. So as I look up I see you can have a combo, slice of pizza, drink, bag of chips, cool? Absolutely. I ask the “new girl” I say “how much for the combo to add a bag of chips and the drink?”. She takes a brief second as she strikes keys to get a price and replies to me “$8.55”. So I say “okay cool I’ll go grab the other $.55 from my car hold on” as I passed her $8. So I come back in I give her the change and step off to the side to let the next customers go by. As I’m standing I notice the “new girl” didn’t move nor even reach to grab my slice and give it to someone to warm it up. As I glanced over she signals me to the counter, she goes “your short $2”. I reply “you just told me my total is $8.55 that’s what I gave you was $8 dollars and $.55 cents?!”. So she doesn’t verbally respond she just puts her finger up to signal me one second. So I don’t give her a hard time I step back off to the side to let her talk to the other girl who came up front, which is the girl who handled the situation. So as I notice the other girl walk up, blonde hair blue eyed chick, the “new girl” tells her, and I repeat this verbatim because I heard her I was standing right there, she goes “oh he’s short $2 he asked for the slice combo”. Now let’s stop right there, folks is anyone following my story? So the blonde hair chick signals me back to the counter and says, “hey, so your total came to $8.37 after I put in the employee discount but your total was $10.00 and some change”. As she said that I immediately put my hands up and said “well wait a minute, I’m not short on cash, I asked the girl next to you what my total was, SHE told me $8.55 I didn’t just choose to give her $8.55. But okay no problem”. As I said that, the blonde hair chick agreed and walked away. Now people, please tell me right or wrong. The appropriate thing for the new girl to do first things first, instead of being insecure and not wanting to use words and speak up like a counter person should, don’t just give a gesture to tell a customer hold on because YOUR NOT SURE OF WHAT YOUR DOING! Just open your mouth like the big girl you are because no job hires a mute for a counter person, and say to the customer “one minute let me find out if I rang this up the right way I might have told you the wrong price” and the customer will understand that. For two, this is where they both went wrong, the new girl shouldn’t have said “he’s short” no, that’s incorrect. The new girl was not sure of the total nor did she rebuttal to me myself the customer, a choice to pay the difference. The new girl just ASSUMED I didn’t want to, or maybe couldn’t afford to pay the differentiated price from the original total SHE told me. For three, NOR did the blonde chick request my acknowledgment to the CORRECT total to ask and offer me the right to either want to pay the correct total or not. The blonde chick just immediately punches in a discount AND THEN AFTER tells me WHY she...
Read moreWe've order from this place dozens of times. Today our food came complete with a black hair in it. Restaurant was very defensive, insinuated I was lying and said everyone that works there is bald, and offered the only solution as them delivering a second meal. Having lost my appetite I challenged the person and they finally agreed to refund but only if they could pick up the food. They picked it up, i showed them the hair, and they refunded me the money. UPDATE 2/20/16 - It's been a couple years since this review and I still stand behind it. The management staff were jerks and we haven't spent a penny at this place since. If you have alternative places to spend your hard earned money I'd suggest exercising those options rather than going to this Salvatore's location. UPDATE 7/29/18 -. Still going strong. I have not given this establishment a single penny. UPDATE 3/24/22 - Not a single penny has gone to this company since. That was an expensive hair! UPDATE 11/5/22 - A recent reddit "name and shame" thread had this specific Salvatore's location as one of the most voted for establishments you'll never return to. Search "What is your “I will never return” to place in Rochester?" . Still providing that same service I experienced all those...
Read moreIve been coming to this location since I was a kid in the early 90s. Ive always order steak subs from here and ive always been able to order country sweet sauce INSIDE of the sub. The lady on the phone insisted that I had to get it on the side because they arent allowed to do that anymore. I said what if you put the sauce on the meat before it goes on the bread I dont care as long as it on the sub. She insisted she could not. Why on earth would I want to dip a large sub into a side sauce side sized cup? Another thing I noticed is whenever Ive ordered the last few times they have been skimping with sausage to where you may get 1 or 2 per slice if your lucky. When I noticed they were skimping on the sausage I ordered extra sausage on my next pizza and it was the same amount of sausage. And the mushrooms arent big like they use to be they are paper thin and translucent now like they went through a deli slicer. The food is great but Its to expensive to skimp on toppings AND not let a customer order food the way that they would like it to be prepared. Marks is cheaper and they accommodate and they have great coupons. Marks will be having my business now from now on. I will miss coming to...
