Very disappointed in procedures in handling incorrect orders made. I was a loyal customer for a very long time purchasing fresh meats and made to order hot and cold food. I ordered 4 subs about a month ago and we got home 2 were found to be made incorrectly and one tasted off and was thrown away. So naturally I called to let them know. They said They would replace the 2 subs at my next return for subs and took my information. I repeated myself more than once to make sure they understood which of the orders were made incorrectly so they werent replacing the wrong one's. I was told my information was put in their book. We finally got around to ordering subs again and when i went to pick up I find out that my information was only written down for one sub and not the other. Their procedures were not followed as there was no documentation with date and manager initials on the replacement of the subs so therefore they could not honor their mistake with a replacement. I am extremely disappointed because with this being the first issue I have ever had there as a weekly customer, their word could not be honored and I had a choice to pay for the $10 sub or not buy it at all. Obviously I am upset because it appears at this point in time customer service and concern for customer loyalty as well as quality of their merchandise is of no concern. Read moreGot catering from Mazzaferro’s for our wedding rehearsal dinner a couple of weeks ago. The food was OUTSTANDING. Well prepared, full of flavor, and even packaged to hold well in catering trays! We had people asking the whole night where we got it from! We had an approximately $500 order with everything from pasta, to meats, sides, apps, etc For an additional $50 they even delivered it to our location a half hour from them! A few negatives: For some reason they put the fried veggies/apps into a plastic tray which got super soggy and couldn’t be kept hot. Also the ordering process wasn’t very good - got very rushed through the call, eventually at the end of the order she hung up without giving any info on total cost, payment info, letting me ask a question or anything... When we called back for total cost info a couple of days later we were given a price. Then when we called to pay it a few days after that she gave us a different(higher price). And wouldn’t explain the reason for the change. Strange and unprofessional. You’d think a deli would treat $500 orders with at least some kind of care, not just like another sandwich order in the store!

Read moreUsed to be my go to spot for prepared food, but since Covid the quality of the kitchen has seriously dropped to the point where I would give them zero stars if I could.
A most recent example of the poor quality would be me foolishly placing a catering order for my son's birthday. We ordered almost three hundred dollars worth of Italian Greens, Chicken Riggies, Italian Chicken, pasta salad, and Italian Potatoes, and the only thing that wasn't messed up was the pasta salad.
The Greens had far too much breadcrumbs in it, to the point that it tasted like spicy bread, the Italian Chicken was so overcooked that it looked deep fried, the Italian Potatoes were made with obviously canned potatoes that were hit with garlic powder and parsley, and the Riggies had no flavor and it wasn't even made with Rigatoni noodles. It was Ziti.
Now, as an Italian and as someone from Central New York, I know that Chicken Riggies gets its name from the fact that it's made from Rigatoni, not Ziti,
Maybe that's nitpicking, but after spending almost three hundred dollars to feed my family a meal and getting that garbage, I feel it's warranted.
I'll be going some place else for my food after that mess.
