It was my daughter and my wife and me going out to dinner. Never been to Teddy's before. We sat down And the waitress came over .We like to sample some of the sauces for the meals were going to have before we make a decision on the meal.this for some reason irritated the waitress to where she would go over to the bartender presumably talking badly about us and looking back at us. She had some comments in regards to us sampling things that was kind of rude.A total of about three different sauces. Her slight rudeness was kind of weighing on our decision whether to get up and leave or not. my wife said let's just see what she says when she comes back. we made the decision to stay. That was not a good decision. All three of us ordered meals that had chicken in it ,the chicken was not edible they pre make the chicken and then heated up to order. if anybody is aware of what that does to the texture and taste of the chicken , it's not good. We explain to the waitress the issue with a chicken, she did not seem to care, but had the manager come over.the manager was probably one of the best restaurant managers I've ever spoken to.I explained everything to him he was very understanding listened and wanted us to take the order of one of the meals to go with fresh chicken in it. Which was extremely nice. They didn't charge us for anything ,but our drinks. we tried a piece of the chicken before we left and it was good. We tried to tell the waitress how much better it was ,but she didn't really seem to care. Which we thought was kind of funny. I'm someone that usually tips very good ,because I know how much the waitress needs it .needless to say we tiped her a cordingly , just for the drinks. The only reason I gave them two stars was because of how good the...
Read moreWe’re locals who haven’t been to Teddy’s in over 10 years—and now we remember why. On July 17, 2025, with two major events happening in Rome (the Erie Canal cyclists and the World Series of Bocce), a party of three of us decided to give Teddy’s another chance. Big mistake.
We walked into a completely empty front area—no host, no staff, no one greeted us. We stood there awkwardly for several minutes wondering if the place was even open. Eventually, a waitress came out and seated us. It took far too long to get drinks, and even longer to place our food order. Then we found out there were only two waitresses working the entire place during one of the busiest nights of the year. That’s completely unacceptable and shows a lack of planning on owners’ part and care for customers.
The food? Small portions, overpriced, and bland. Nothing about the experience was redeeming. It reminded us exactly why we haven’t been back in over a decade—and we won’t be returning ever again.
For the record, I’m usually very fair in my reviews. I rarely leave one-star ratings, and I always try to give places the benefit of the doubt. But this? This was terrible from start to finish. One star is generous. Avoid Teddy’s.

Read moreDespite the mixed reviews, my boyfriend and I decided to give Teddy's a try last weekend. It is safe to say Teddy's is no longer what it used to be - I frequently visited Teddy's on a Friday or Saturday evening growing up with my family, and had so many memories made here. Unfortunately, after this experience, I will never be coming back.
For dinner, I ordered the fish fry - the only decent part of my dinner was the coleslaw. The fish was terrible and over fried, and the lack of french fries was despicable. But to top it off, my boyfriend's entrée is what left me furious. I wish I took a picture beforehand but I took one after. He ordered the Chicken & Broccoli Alfredo. For over $21.00, this should have been a big bowl - it was so small and almost looked like an entrée from a kids menu! He is not a big eater to begin with and finished this meal in just a few bites. Attached is a picture of the dish this entrée arrived in. There was hardly any pasta (something so inexpensive) nor chicken... For the price of this dish, it should be served in a deep bowl with an abundance of pasta, chicken, and broccoli.
We both...
