Possibly the WORST dining experience of my entire life. Let me try to summarize everything that was wrong. The waitress was beyond rude. We remained polite, smiled, and said thank you and she barely spoke to us. She asked “How many?” We responded “Two” and she said “Fine but it’s gonna be awhile” as she walked away and threw two menus on a table and left. She THREW everything on our table. Every appetizer and dish was thrown. The small empty plates she brought had a brown sticky substance on both plates. Based on her demeanor we were both too nervous to say anything. One of us ordered an Alfredo dish and the bowl had a dried red sauce on the side. The food was DISGUSTING. I ordered the chicken francaise which was supposed to have capers and artichokes. There were no capers and they fried two artichokes on put them on the side. The chicken was soggy and overall gross. They also brought a side of spaghetti in tomato sauce when they brought out the Alfredo dish and told me the chicken francaise would be out (it was another 5 minutes before my actual dish came out). For the Alfredo dish the pasta was over cooked and the chicken tasted terrible and unseasoned. It appeared that they were very busy so I totally understand the waitress being stressed but she was downright rude, meanwhile she was nice to other customers. I will 100% never be returning to this place again in my life but I also want to leave this review in case anyone is thinking about going there.
P.S. they had A LOT of to go orders so I’m assuming the pizza and maybe the fish fry is good and popular? But the dine in and the pasta dishes were...
Read moreI asked a lot of questions before ordering..... My sub was not even edible the bread was so hard I couldn't chew it... and there was barely any cheese and the eggplant was not extra thin... I asked the waitress before I ordered if it had a lot of cheese and if eggplant was really thin specifically.... but I couldn't chew the bread it was toasted so hard.... my wife went and told them I couldn't chew it and I ordered something else... I was appalled at the end when they charged me for part of the sub that I couldn't chew because it was hard as a rock.... I am in the food world and have worked in a lot of restaurants and hotels... and the server also told me how to order my food and that it was a me problem.... I bit my tongue but had that been all I ordered I would have walked out.... it's too bad cause I ordered Pizza from there just last night.... but I won't be back... BAD SERVICE losses customers.... my wife loves pizza here but being charged for inedible food is really poor business..... On top of the Waitress tipped herself on our bill... We were not a large party..... TERRIBLE TERRIBLE.... Extremely disappointed... I know people love it here but I have never had such terrible service. And then expected they can demand a tip. If I had known they were charging me I would not have...
Read moreLong-time customer. Not anymore. This is the third time in recent history, I've arrived at 7:30p.m., for a simple roast-beef sandwich, and was told by the counter, that, "we are closing." Well, you're closing a 8p.m. That means ya continue with orders at least within ten minutes of 8p.m. As a former restaurant manager, I know that much. Sad that Rome, NY should be extremely busy on Sunday's for restaurant business, and only two(besides fast food), are open. Kinda tells ya the actual economy of the Copper City. And how long does it take to make a sub sandwich? Two? maybe four minutes? Everyone is shutting-down and everything is stored away before 7:30p.m. I'll take my business to Subway. And FYI: The pandemic is...over. If businesses don't bother to stay open, they are then influencing people to stay home and not go out. Which is why everyone in Rome, NY goes elsewhere...
