Possibly the WORST dining experience of my entire life. Let me try to summarize everything that was wrong. The waitress was beyond rude. We remained polite, smiled, and said thank you and she barely spoke to us. She asked “How many?” We responded “Two” and she said “Fine but it’s gonna be awhile” as she walked away and threw two menus on a table and left. She THREW everything on our table. Every appetizer and dish was thrown. The small empty plates she brought had a brown sticky substance on both plates. Based on her demeanor we were both too nervous to say anything. One of us ordered an Alfredo dish and the bowl had a dried red sauce on the side. The food was DISGUSTING. I ordered the chicken francaise which was supposed to have capers and artichokes. There were no capers and they fried two artichokes on put them on the side. The chicken was soggy and overall gross. They also brought a side of spaghetti in tomato sauce when they brought out the Alfredo dish and told me the chicken francaise would be out (it was another 5 minutes before my actual dish came out). For the Alfredo dish the pasta was over cooked and the chicken tasted terrible and unseasoned. It appeared that they were very busy so I totally understand the waitress being stressed but she was downright rude, meanwhile she was nice to other customers. I will 100% never be returning to this place again in my life but I also want to leave this review in case anyone is thinking about going there.

P.S. they had A LOT of to go orders so I’m assuming the pizza and maybe the fish fry is good and popular? But the dine in and the pasta dishes were...

I asked a lot of questions before ordering..... My sub was not even edible the bread was so hard I couldn't chew it... and there was barely any cheese and the eggplant was not extra thin... I asked the waitress before I ordered if it had a lot of cheese and if eggplant was really thin specifically.... but I couldn't chew the bread it was toasted so hard.... my wife went and told them I couldn't chew it and I ordered something else... I was appalled at the end when they charged me for part of the sub that I couldn't chew because it was hard as a rock.... I am in the food world and have worked in a lot of restaurants and hotels... and the server also told me how to order my food and that it was a me problem.... I bit my tongue but had that been all I ordered I would have walked out.... it's too bad cause I ordered Pizza from there just last night.... but I won't be back... BAD SERVICE losses customers.... my wife loves pizza here but being charged for inedible food is really poor business..... On top of the Waitress tipped herself on our bill... We were not a large party..... TERRIBLE TERRIBLE.... Extremely disappointed... I know people love it here but I have never had such terrible service. And then expected they can demand a tip. If I had known they were charging me I would not have...

Long-time customer. Not anymore. This is the third time in recent history, I've arrived at 7:30p.m., for a simple roast-beef sandwich, and was told by the counter, that, "we are closing." Well, you're closing a 8p.m. That means ya continue with orders at least within ten minutes of 8p.m. As a former restaurant manager, I know that much. Sad that Rome, NY should be extremely busy on Sunday's for restaurant business, and only two(besides fast food), are open. Kinda tells ya the actual economy of the Copper City. And how long does it take to make a sub sandwich? Two? maybe four minutes? Everyone is shutting-down and everything is stored away before 7:30p.m. I'll take my business to Subway. And FYI: The pandemic is...over. If businesses don't bother to stay open, they are then influencing people to stay home and not go out. Which is why everyone in Rome, NY goes elsewhere...

Atmosphere: Honestly, this place does it right. It clearly has history, but where other restaurants fail by never updating anything. This place show cases both a modern flair with monotone colors and modern wall art. While also keeping true to their history with some old photos of its history on the walls. Beautiful really. Food: We hard the chicken parm sub and steak and cheese sub. Both were well made and the bread was really fresh. I do believe the sign said the bread was locally sourced daily. The French fries were pretty basic. Tasted a lot like the frozen crinkle cuts you get from the frozen section. Service: Nicest service, they were very punctual, friendly, and informative about the area as they could tell we were from out of town.

Stopped in today for lunch with some family but was not greeted very friendly. Staff looked and acted very stressed and didn't hide her annoyance with having to cover for others who called in. Although I understand and sympathize with her, customer service can't be put aside because you are having a bad day. I went the extra mile to be extra courteous and patient and did not get the same in return. As usual the food was excellent and the atmosphere was great. I still left a 25% tip hoping to cheer up the waitress. Hope she got some help to relieve her stress.

A pretty good pizza/pasta/italian shop for just about anything you want. You can tell they upgraded the backend kitchen and process to get orders through fast and consistent. Their calzones are tasty, you just need to ensure you ask for ricotta in them, and sauce on the side (which I always thought was standard, but not here). Their chicken wing pizza is awesome and their subs are absolutely enormous. Dine in or takeout, the food is always good and the family is great people!
