Nothing like a fresh made bagel. Willies offers NYC style bagels and house made cream cheese and a wide selection of sandwiches and sides. Food is consistently good, despite a slight wait time. Best bagels in CNY. Wish the staff was as good as the food. They are cold and distracted. Don't expect a "welcome to Willies" you wont get it. Rather your meet with annoyed stars from behind the register. No "thanks you", no "come again". Fresh bagels, cream cheese, and coffee. The seating area can fit groups of 2-4 easily and is a fair balance of cute and utilitarian. Thumbs up for having soy bacon breakfast sandwiches and being able to pay with CashApp or tap to pay. Thumbs down for not having reusable cups/plates for eating-in and having an 82¢ charge for a cup of water. If it were 25¢ I wouldn’t be nearly as annoyed. This is hands down the BEST spot for coffee and breakfast! They don’t skimp on the cream and sugar—two and two tastes more like four and four. After spending the summer in Utica trying out different coffee shops, I can finally say I’ve found my place. Everything is made fresh to order, the bagels are unreal, and the coffee is perfection. It does get a little busy, so plan to wait a few minutes while your breakfast is prepared—but trust me,...
