Bernardo's Pizzeria — Restaurant in City of Watertown

Don't buy into any of the 5 star reviews. I have a feeling they are fake / family. Let me give you a quick run down of the pros and cons of this place.

Pros: The pizza is slightly better than pizza hut / dominos.

That's it. Now lets get into the cons...

Cons: Too expensive for what it is. A small 2 topping pizza will run you around $15 here. For that price you could buy a large pizza almost anywhere else. And their 'deals' SUCK. does a large pizza with a large salad and a 2 litter sound like it's worth $35 before tax? Maybe if the pizza was high quality, but ill get into why its not...

The food here is low quality, but they try and sell it as if its high quality. The pizza is the only PASSABLE thing here and it's debate-able if its even better than Dominos. The rest of the food on the menu is 90% frozen. And what isn't frozen is so bland that you wouldn't want it anyway. The above reviewer who complained about their spaghetti and salad is right... There is no flavor. And all of their food looks like a 10 year old made it (go look at pictures of their salads. It's the most basic, no effort salad you can get).

I haven't been in watertown long enough to know if this place was ever good at one point, but every time I step into this place, it looks like everyone there hates their job. I'm sure at one point the owner was passionate about their business, but it's obvious that this place is cutting corners anywhere they can and trying to pass themselves off as a high quality pizza place.

The fact that this place has so many high reviews makes me believe that either bernardos used to be good at one point, the reviews are fake, or people in watertown have no idea what good pizza taste like. Either way I'm astounded that this place even stays...

I ordered the Tuesday Night Special (One large Topping Pizza and 8 chicken wings) for $28.50 for pickup. Upon arrival, I was given the pizza and 20 wings, which I did not order, and charged $20 over the special price. When I advised that I ordered the special, the young lady advised that "he didn't put it in as the special, but I got you" (meaning to give me the special price). I was grateful until she stated the price at $48.53! Seeing my shock, I was then told "wing prices have gone up". That much since the last week I'd ordered them? I think not. Instead of making a scene, I paid the exorbitant "special price" and left with my pizza and wings that were very dry with hardly any sauce. Not what I ordered, not what I paid for, not an adjustment to the price I was advised would be done- and certainly not worth what I indeed paid. Very, very disappointed with my experience and unfortunately will not continue to patronize the establishment, despite my son's weekly request of the Monday Special, as he does enjoy the pizza. Good pizza but delivery service is the worst I've ever encountered. Call in order for delivery and they say 45 minutes. Hour and a half later we call to check on status because it hasn't arrived yet. They tell us they're backed up but it's out and should arrive shortly. 2 hours and I call back and owner answered the phone. Was very apologetic and said the pizza just left shop about 10 minutes earlier. The young staff that normally answer the phone needs to not give false information on status if they don't know it, very irritating. No attempt from staff to make it right after getting our pizza 2 hours and 45 minutes later. Customer service is horrible from this establishment. Was nice and cold as expected so had to wait longer while we reheated the pizza in the oven. Love the pizza but I'll take my...
