North Country Grounds Cafe — Restaurant in City of Watertown

Very Very Rude, I called up to ask about their menu Bc their website displayed 3 items and nothing else. I didn’t catch this lady’s name however, she appeared she couldn’t explain any item that they had. She rushed me off the phone and said to me, “look it up online”, and if I had any questions call them back. I was conflicted and said, this is what I’m doing & ask could she tell me about their bowls they have. She laughed in my ear & said I am sorry but I am the only one on register & hung up on me. I am in complete devastation. If I can’t be respected over a phone line then, I wouldn’t expect anything more coming from this business. The interaction alone is, highly discouraging & turned off. They just lost a customer & I will make it known to anyone this place isn’t accommodating or, pleasant to visit under any circumstances. Lastly if, it were possible, I wouldn’t give this place any stars whatsoever. I’m sure what they’re serving I could make it myself with love and not have to deal with someone’s...

Came here while visiting a friend in town. Despite all the great reviews, I can’t say I see the hype on this place. my drink was alright and more importantly, customer service is terrible. The dynamic between the employees was hostile and aggressive. I felt super uncomfortable while ordering, I could feel the tension between the girl taking my order, and who I’m assuming was her boss. I’ve worked food industry my whole life and this place is far below basic customer service standards. My order was rushed and I had to repeat myself 3 times because she wasn’t listening. While waiting for my order, I had to watch the tension build behind the counter. Coworkers started arguing and snatching tasks from one another instead of working as a team. I kind of feel bad for the people working there, everyone is miserable. I’ve seen a nicer work flow at McDonald’s in the hood. This was my first time at the new location, although I have gone to the old spot in the square a few times. They’ve definitely moved into a larger space that’s still welcoming, clean, and provides a great atmosphere. I got the tropical dragonfruit bowl w/o kiwi (they gave me no trouble accommodating my request) and it was delicious. The only reason for 4/5 stars for food was because of the price: I payed $13 plus tip which I think is a little too much for the size of the bowl. Had I ordered a drink I’m sure it would’ve been a $20 meal total. Still, I had a very good experience; went in on a Friday afternoon, was able to order immediately, and had no trouble finding a place to sit.
