I cannot speak to the quality of the food or coffee, but I do not recommend this business for catering services. I reached out by email to request a quote for a reception. I provided basic details to determine whether catering services would be available on my requested date. The general manger took two days to respond. She confirmed that they could, in fact, cater the event and promised to put some options together based on the details I had provided. I still had not heard back 6 days later. When I reached out again, I explained that I needed to make a decision soon and requested a quote for the service I had requested. I then received a curt email from another employee who asked me to call because it would be easier to do over the phone—as if their failure to follow up constituted an emergency on my part. A few hours later I received an email with a quote of $1000 and very little explanation of the services provided. Worse, the general manager insinuated that it was my fault they could not provide a timely or accurate estimate because I had not specified whether I required plates, napkins, etc. There was no mention of their failures to respond in a timely manner. That’s fine, but it’s beyond the pale to blame a customer for a lost business opportunity caused by the inattention of that business’s employees. Sackets harbor location-Today was a busy day so I was expecting a wait, no big deal but when it comes to customer service I will never return! We were missing 3 food items and pointed it out each time( given looks and then talking bad to each other by the 3rd time) then when they figured we were lying they looked back to our order in the system only to say “you were missing that”. Yes we were, unfortunately we weren’t given a receipt. Then received something we never asked for and when we asked why we got a certain container was told it was the cake we ordered to which we said that cake(pointing to the cake) fit in the container? Yes they claimed…opened it to find out it wasn’t what we ordered. When my daughter was ordering behind me she told the lady it indeed was the wrong cake she brushed it off and was told we have 2 cakes 🤷‍♀️ (mind you she wasn’t even the same one who took my order) no fixing the issue. Apparently physically pointing to the cake with the name while ordering meant nothing and having multiple people doing multiple orders does not help. Lovely! I was here once before and got a regular black coffee and this one chocolate pastry that I forgot the name of. But yesterday as of this writing I wanted to visits this place again thanks to my trip to Korea making me love coffee shops. I ordered a frosted sugar cookie and an americano. The cookie was decently big and had a very generous amount of frosting on top of it with sprinkles. It was delicious, I should’ve gotten napkins haha. The Americano was just what I expected, warm and comforting. The place was nice and clean and the vibe was very relaxed. I also saw a sign that read that if you’re not going to behave yourself then you’ll be asked to leave. Glad to see they want people to be nice here. Overall it’s a very sweet place. I’ll definitely be back to get some coffee again and try another pastry. I also got a photo of the wi-fi password as I didn’t get that when I first sat down, but I wasn’t planning on staying long.
